A rebound is when one gets out of a serious relationship then gets in another to mask or bury the pain of the breakup. It's very common. After a breakup people want to know if they're still attractive to the opposite sex and that's some of the motivation. These never last very long because the feelings of the loss or breakup can't be suppressed forever. The most healthy thing to do is grieve, heal then you're ready to date again. A rebound only delays the grieving and healing process
