What do you do when he doesn't say I love you anymore?

should I be worried. my boyfriend hasn't said I love you in over 3 weeks. is that a problem? should I be worried or is it no big deal? I need help please!

I think it depends on how long you two have been together. I mean my boyfriend and I used to say it all the time, just about daily. Now we've gotten to the point that we don't say it everyday and it can go a week or two with out it being said by either one of us. I don't think it means that there is an issue or that his feelings have changed, I think it means that he just doesn't feel the need to tell you all the time. That its somethign that you should know and trust that he loves you. If there was a problem then he'd be showing other signs in his demeanor or actions other than just leaving out "I love you." So I would pay attention to other things going on with him and if he's acting strange or different in other areas as well then I'd approach the subject of what's going on. Or it could be as simple as you said it first so he doesn't feel the need to since you already took the step to say it but that still doesn't mean that he loves you any less.

A guy pulling away is NEVER a good sign. From personal experience, he probably does really care for you, but there is a real chance he has gotten bored, or maybe he doesn't feel as loved by you as he did before. DO NOT get clingy right now, it will make him pull away more. Have you changed since hooking up? If not then it probably IS him up to no good. He might just like the security and that's why he didn't leave.

well if you use to always say 'i love you' and you still tell him that you love him maybe there's a problem just ask him about it if you feel its a problem

Then I would look at it as a slight problem...

You usually worry about those things, because they can either be considerate hints.

Or he might be uncomfortable saying it to you anymore..

TALK to him about it and let him know how you feel.

You never said he says "sorry babe". No no no. That's not right, you SHOULD be worried now.

He doesn't love you anymore, if he's apologizing for not saying it. Hell he might even be cheating on you. No no no, you need to talk to him right now and ASK him what the problem is.

You shouldn't have a boyfriend at the end of that conversation.

I tried talking to him I asked him if he was cheating on me he said he wasn't and that he would never do that to me cause I meant everything to him. I snapped and said that I was tired off the bull and the lies and that when he figured out what he wants then talk to me but until then I don't want to talk to you anymore

Good! If you "meant everything to him." He'd TALK to you about WHY he hasn't been saying "I love you" to you. I hate guys. Really.

Oh so now, when you basically threaten to leave him, he finds those magic words and stops saying "sorry babe" I think you DO need to think about it. At least a week. Because that's some very heavy stuff that can be going on behind he scenes.

Okay? So talk to your friends for advice, I've given the best I can without personally being in the situation. BUT don't stay with him just because you put time into him. That's bad.

Figure out if YOU love HIM, truly.

Still not convinced there's a huge issue and I think you may have over-reacted a tad. Unless you're not telling everythign and he's treating you badly in other ways, but just leaving out I love you isn't the worse thing I've ever heard of and I don't think it should be a deal breaker. Unfortunately I think you're being a little needy and insecure in your relationship.

He's not "leaving out" the I love you.
