I mean what does it mean when someone tells you that you want a love that consumes you? Is this something negative? How do you define it?
Love isn’t suppose to consume you. Love is suppose to make you grow, make you happy, gives you a purpose in life… not consume. It sounds so negative

It is all context related. Sometimes that is good and sometimes that is toxic.
I think a love that consumes you could be a positive thing. It could refer to falling head-over-heals for the person. It means you can't stop thinking about the person, you look forward to seeing them again and you miss them when you are apart.
Sounds like she telling you that you continuing to love him (a love) despite all the toxic issues in y'all's relationship (that consumes you)
Basically, Romeo and Juliet style.
But you should always answer "what are you willing to do for it?"
