I prefer calling him by his first name. I feel weird calling him things like 'babe' or 'hun'. Plus, he already calls me 'bae' so... if I do call him 'baby', it'll usually be in a sarcastic way. Other than that, if I don't refer to him by his first name, I'll call him 'Steve' (a nickname that he hates with a passion) or something else relative to whatever we've been busy with that day. (be it 'derp', 'incubus', etc.)
I don't think that's weird. I feel that way about some names. I wouldn't call him babe or baby because that would make me feel uncomfortable, it's just awkward, and I wouldn't like if he called me those. I feel comfortable calling him dear or love though and I like when he calls me dear or a few others. Just depends on the term for us.
Nah it's not weird. It's just what you're comfortable with and that's fine. I personally love pet names, for me and for them. I used to call my ex 'babe' and she called me the same (more so than we even used our real names) and my current boyfriend calls me Princess hehe ^^
I'm always calling my girl "baby", "babe", or "sweetcake". Those are my favorite pet names to call her!
Babe seems pretty normal, if you're not used to it, might be weird for you.

No, he's marshmallow and he's staying that way lol. I use his name sometimes but marshmallow is always my go to nickname for him
