How to talk to a guy when he's around his friends?

Its been a month since I've talked to him last. And I really like him. But every time I get myself ready to talk to him he's with his friends. I feel like I'm not going to ever be able to tell him how I feel. Plus I have to tell him I'm sorry for something childish I did.

Don't be afraid, a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.

Take that first step and the rest will follow: go up to him and just start by saying hello, how he is, and so on.

If he ignores you, confront him, tell him you want to talk and would appreciate if he listened.

If he doesn't, then there you go! Step one wasn't so bad, step two is to rekindle that friendship and apologize.
