Why do guys seem to go for girls that act like a ditz?

SMART VS. DITZ?  Why do you guys choose ditzy girls over smart girls? Are they more fun? easier to bang? TELL ME THE TRUTH GUYS

Well as a guy who has been with both ditzy girls and smart girls the regular kind not the nerdy i am going to win science price sort. I usually prefer smart girls as in they not stupid and they have brain and some ambition in life. But it can get rather frustrating and agrivating when you talk to a woman and they are smart and you can tell even if mean there judging you for not being able have the same intellectual conversation they can with the other smart guys. Its worst if you do try to have one they are holding back and dumbing it down like your a kid. Not all smart girls do that but many them will at some point come across like that without even realising they patronizing it comes across. Guys do it too. I always have a harder time relating to smart woman than those not so clever. Your always have to watch what you say when you are invited out by them to work or other functions otherwise you end up offending them when there colleagues start talking about you for not being as smart as they are or understanding what it is they do etc. You can be free to say what you like around them when its just and them and your friends and what not but they always seem to be worried you might embrass them. They tend to judge who your friends more as well. If they don't like them or think you can do better they will try to persuade you to drop them. But on the otherhand you can have more deeper conversations and more topics to talk to them about since they can usually got broader range of interests and topics they enjoy and passionate about and they tend to listen better and usually better for long term relationships since they plan and take it more seriously. They will keep you on your toes and push you to better yourself and if they good caring woman they won't try to change you into someone your not just a better version.

While ditzy woman which dosn't mean they are dumb or stupid by any means they just not the academic smart as there peers. They can still be street smart and wise in other ways. Dity girls tend to be more impulsive and less series than there smarter counterparts. They take humour better even if its not exactly the most witty or sophisticated frases that come out of your mouth. They can usually depending who your friends are get along better to since they won't judge them or at least not as much. They usually more easy going since they don't over think or try to be right. But they are fun to date but require more care in keeping them focused.

We don't. I've never been with one. All girls I've been with (more than 1 date, are smart or have some level of intellect). The ones for 1 date I kept at one date, and didnt' touch them.

There is some draw to them though, deep down. It may be because they are perceived more fun, easy going and less emotional stress/pain. Thus, that is all easier on us. Another aspect, it is kinda qute and sweet that we are greater than they are and can be of service (if we are service minded).

It may be the guy you are thinking about is drawn to them because that's what he is drawn to. Maybe his mom was ditzy?

I don't think many guys seriously consider ditzy girls as potential ltr material. It's more about presentation and how approachable they are. The stereotypical ditz likely acts outgoing, friendly, and approachable while the smart girl is probably more reserved and hence intimidating to approach compared to the ditz.

There's zero emotional investment on the girl's part when she acts like a space cadet. There's also zero pressure on the guy to be intellectually stimulating when he's visually distracted by the way the gal looks, so it's a win-win for him as well.

Personally, I try to go for smarter girls I like a girl that has educated opinions and can support them even if it's just life knowledge no school smarts. But I think some guys go for ditzy girls because they are intimidated by smart girls. Use ally I see dumb guys go for the ditz becauseIi think he wants to feel smart. I personally don't find ditzes more fun I find them annoying. I haven't had sexual experiences with a ditz but from what I hear from my friends they are generally easy to get in bed. So from my experience ditzes are easier to get in bed but I personally don't like ditzes so you can take my opinion with a grain of salt.

Ditzy girls are simply more outgoing: if they like you you'll know. Smart girls are often a lot more shy or start overthinking things and then play games they think they have to play: end result is that he'll never know she likes him or that she drives him away by appearing aloof or uninterested.

Guys generally don't have a problem with smart girls.

A lot of guys have a problem with girls who SAY they're smart. Because if you have to say you're smart, you probably aren't.

And even worse are girls who have to DEMONSTRATE how smart they are, by contradicting/disagreeing/arguing about everything the guy says.

A girl who self-identifies as "smart" often turns out to be a giant pain in the ass.

It's not whether a girl is ditzy or smart. It's how easy-going and laid back they are.
If a girl is pretty and smart she might tend to correct his grammer or tell him he shouldn't drink etc. Bc she "knows better".
If a girl is pretty and unsmart she might tend to not care (as much) and likely wouldn't nag or be critical bc she "doesn't know any better".
I'm not telling you to be stupid, just try to be more aware.
Everyone likes compliments and feeling like they're needed.

Smart girls can be intimidating. Also, ditsy girls often are easier to bang because they are usually more "easy going".

Don't get me wrong, intelligence in a girl is super hot, but unless she is giving out signs or being relaxed, guys will often move along because it seems like a lot work for lower "chances" as smart girls are more picky usually.

hmmm, interesting question. Personally, i met this girl once who was not the brightest one in the bunch but she had a nice aura about her and i felt drawn to listen to her. She was mostly chilled out and spoke nicely and was feminine.

Most of the really smart girls had this blank stare waiting for guys to sweep them off their feet and honestly i find smart girls not much fun.

I have met a really ditzy girl before she seemed a little "air headed" yet she wasn't like other girls, she was actually chill and the least judgmental girl I've ever met. (Although she dressed rather umm revealing) still I'd rather her than all you other girls.
