Why are some guys SO GIRLY these days?

I AM NOT TALKING ABOUT PHYSIQUE OR SENSITIVITY HERE.
BUT, it's about when they spend hours and hours in front of mirror, just looking at themselves. Then, click thousands of mirror selfies with different angles, and some guys are as free as girls, so they give effects to each one of their photos. The captions they put on face book with so many emoticons like ^_^ ^_^ ^_^ make them look like 5 years old when they are adults!
They don't like travelling or going out, or if they step out, they just click more pictures or selfies! So, basically, their life exists for selfies.

This right here is the whole problem---that many people in general seem to stereotype that crap as being "girly". Being vain, self-absorbed, and immature is NOT girly, it's stupid, let's set that straight right here and now.

I think it's idiotic when both guys and girls do it, and a total turn-off.

I've been wondering the same thing! i'm starting to really like a guy who is just like that, but he's pretty attractive. I just wish he wasn't so obsessed with social media. Cause I rarely use it myself.

That's really annoying, how obsessed guys are to social media. I used to think that only girls needed that to show off to their friends or something. In fact, guys seem to hire professional photographers to get their photos clicked now a days. Weird!

For one, I rather doubt many guys are that into selfies.

For two, it's part of "equality." For true equality between the sexes, men must become more feminine and women more masculine. Hence why the feminist push in our society is rather harmful.

For three, consider than divorce rates are about 50%, male provider traits are not worth anything in dating today, and a huge percent of the female population is fat... so why go out and try to meet women, etc?

We all know that it's generally girls who care way too much about looking their best in the profile pictures (me, too), but some of them use tooooo many filters to edit their pictures. Initially, girls used to do it, and now boys, too. I always thought guys are cooler than girls but seriously, filtering pictures and all don't make any guy or girl look cool. Then, they put such weird captions on their pics like, "Let me take a selfie, first" or something... with so many emoticons (and generally it's said that girls use many emoticons)... so in that sense, I found it girly.

Because i see no reason guys shouldn't care about their look! And seriously, you got any idea how much work it is to maintain a proper beard?
So since we can argue that spending time on your looks isn't feminine nor masculine (it all depends on the look), we can continue. Using filters, is it girly? Why would it? It's simple photomanipulation, and just make you look like a tryhard hipster or some kind of tryhard photographer.
And selfies just looks narcistic to me. remember the measure of narcism; selfies per hour.

I don't have any proof, but that's how all my female friends are. In fact, when I get myself clicked, I want to look my best. So, I don't know about proof, but it seems like many people around me do so. I never said taking care of yourself is bad. But, there's a park near my house. Every morning at around seven AM, guys and girls meet there, and most of them hardly looks like they are there to exercise. It seems like they are going to a club, and they start taking selfies with girls kissing the guys and so. I don't get it. It has become a selfie hangout for them.
I have always found filters girly because again, girls around me used to do it to hide their imperfections. Initially, boys never did it, but now they have suddenly started filtering their pictures with different effects.
ahat about the fact that they use soooo many emoticons and try to look all cute and fluffy and sensitive when in real life, they don't give a damn.

I wold claim the last. It's not "girly" to use filters, it's not "girly" to care about your looks, and the only reason you think it looks girly is because girls did it first. By that logic, it'd be girly for men to suddenly have a fad to go trial-biking if all the girls did it first. But it isn't.
Because unless it's something extremely feminine you can't really call it "girly" in my opinion.

I generally look at so many profiles of the guys, and most of the time, they have so many damn selfies, and even when they are out, it seems like they spend the whole time just clicking some perfect pictures to upload on Facebook. While replying to girls and guys on comment section, they make so many cute smileys and hearts, and you know what? It's overwhelming and gross,

It's not exaggeration. In fact, I know guys who upload selfies like every hour. Though I will say that it seems more like a narcissistic behavior.

So they truly want a MAN.

I don't think there's anything wrong with taking care of yourself, but the whole selfie part is crazy. If we are going out, I don't expect from him to take his cell phone out and yell, "First, let me take a selfie!" By the way, that's the cpation that I guy had on his Facebook profile picture. Weird.
