Frankly, he's asking you a good question. It's not about the account per se... it's about WHY you post the photos that you post. He wants to know why you feel the need to post them. One can be fully clothed and still be provocative/sexy. You're posting them for a reason... what is it? On the surface, he's asking you to stop doing that... but the real issue is that he doesn't understand why you feel the need to do it. He told you that at the end there... he thinks you're better than that. Why does he think that? Perhaps he's seeing something you aren't. What kind of comments, if any, are your photos receiving? What's the point of posting them? Until you can adequately answer that, you'll never be able to address his concerns.
Girl! You are not his daugther. He is not your dad. I believe it was just a nice picture. Dont give up what you like just to 'respect' please him!
Maby he is scared that he will lose you because you are pretty. But I think you have to tell him that you are not going to erase your social media. He has to trust you. Dont let him take your happiness, while (because he is jealous) it only makes you happy right!
Take good care of yourself!
I hate this, I personally don't have much social media because it makes me unhappy and does cause unnecessary problems HOWEVER i also don't have my boyfriend on instagram lol. I don't have Facebook etc. Anywho, it must be exhausting having to report to your own boyfriend like a parent, if you see nothin wrong with what you posted them stand by it, it will only get worse and he will get more controlling. However you pick your battles.
Look I honestly understand why a guy is nervous of social media, we know that tons of other guys use likes/shares/comments to try to make moves and show attraction to a girl whether she's dating or not, I truly hate social media for that and wish it were gone, I think you're best bet would be to reassure him that you're committed to him and not using it to talk to anyone etc, I'm not saying delete it just go to him with your concerns about it being controlling and then address his of his worries which could very well be the same issue I view it as.
Sorry but this guy is over the top jealous. Those kind of people are dangerous and it will be a non stop issue in your relationship. SO you have to decide now. are you going to always let him dictate what you do? if yes, delete the picture and go on with life. If not, stand up for yourself. Either he comes to his senses or you end the relationship. Either way, your better off and going to be a lot happier.

You're going to ignore everyone anyway, but hopefully the gang mentality here will get through to a girl like yourself.
WAKE UP. That is not how to treat a girlfriend. He sounds like someone stuck in his ways, so controlling. If you break up with him, no other girl will stay with him long. He's one of the worst kinds of people to date. You have no freedom, no life outside of him!!!
WAKE. THE HELL. UP.
Depends on the culture and your beliefs. I wouldn't delete it, I'd delete him from your life. But I realize that not everyone shares those beliefs. What you do is ultimately up to you. But he's setting some pretty strong terms, and it'll likely get worse in the future.
He sounds insecure as fuck and clingy I'd break up with him, but that's just me. So what if you have a social media? There is more that you can do with social media besides using it to send pics of yourself. This guy sounds like a complete douche idiot.
Seing those names I assume you come from a conservative culture. How you described the picture, it's not provocative at all. Not that he has a right to tell yiu that anyways, it's your body.
If he wants to break up with you over that, i'd tell him deal with it or you're losing me.
He sounds like your dad.
Nesrine and Abdullah... Seems like the typical traditional relationship
C'mon fellas... it's 21th century. I'm not saying to go naked on social media but it's completely normal to upload a normal pic. If he has an issue with these things and depends the relationship on these small pathetic things, he's not worth your time. Just honesty...
www.court-records.net/.../bratworth-crossed(c).gif
Well, he made his position clear. If you don't want to abide by it, then just leave his ass.
I think you should have posted the picture you uploaded as well. Everyone here is saying the guy is controlling and insecure without evaluating the picture. The thing about relationships is that they require sacrifices. Think about it, what do you actually gain from posting "provocative" pictures for random people to see? Why do you actually need social media?
Yes, social media is the leading cause of infidelity in young relationships. If you really love him and see a future with him then social media is a very small thing to give up. Enough of this jumping from one partner to another, if you find the right one, all that is just crap sad people do to feel better about their shitty selves.
Don't do that. He is controlling you don't let him take decision about you You have your own mind why you are letting him make decisions about you. He has to respect your decision your social media accounts If you want to delete your facebook intagram etc delete it but don't delete it because he wants.
If you might be get married with him you will be unhappy for sure because he doesn't care how you feel and Your happiness is important. Don't ever forget that.
It's really up to you. No one has the right to tell u what to do.
personally having No social media is the best thing ever. But obviously you have that so either you let him know you don't want to because it's your life or you do it to please him.
He's being overly controlling. I could understand him being upset if lots of guys were commenting on the pic and you were indulging them. But unless that is happening, it sounds to me like he's a bit out of line with this response.
No matter what we all say just leave him, girls like you always believe if you act or look a certain way he will change for the better. We say leave him not only for your peace of mind but your safety in the long run before it gets really dangerous and out of control. Men like him never change. Run...
Dumb that bitch, he is manipulating you. First it will be with your social media, your way of dressing then he will talk bad about your friends and and trye to make you spend lest time with them, he is a fucking abuser.
Exactly, my ex did that.
What an idiot. Sorry to say. A Tank top and jeans. He is worried about that shit?
My god, just lecture him with logic and try to get through to him that he is being insecure for no reason.
My ass it's about "respect"
What the hell? Are you really going to let him control you like that? Keep your social media and wear and post whatever your heart desires. He can leave.
What an insecure and controlling loser. Damn!
Better do what he says.
Please don't delete your social media. Your picture was more than likely not provocative. He sounds controlling, manipulative and maybe even insecure. Don't let him control you like that
Whoa. This guy is seriously controlling, red flags right here!! Beware, these are the classic warning signs of an abuser/abusive relationship looming on the horizon.
Its your fault for dating a muslim. Just saying.. they're crazy. Instead of being happy when a girl shows a little skin, they tell her to dress *facepalm*
keep it, he's being controlling and not understanding. if he leaves, let him :) it's harder irl but you know, how do you see a future with this guy if he restricts your freedom
He sounds either jealous and insecure, or he's being manipulative. Either way keep it, he might be your partner but he holds NO power over the choices you make.
no need to delete.. but as you know in Islam showing skin is not considered good.. and you mentioned you wearing tank top.. so i think just remove that pic..
Social isn't for attention from guys. Its for connecting with family and friends. If he's got a problem with that, thats his problem.
Yeah... you're totally wrong about that. SOme social media accounts are all ABOUT getting attention. Take, for instance, the SuicideGirls and the many girls who post pin-up style photos. Those girls aren't doing it to keep in touch in with their family --- they are doing it for attention. I have a cousin who does this... she purposefully blocks her parents and some relatives from seeing certain images she posts. But she does it because she's a 'fitness model' and is trying to get work as a bikini model/pinup model. Her family is not terribly supportive of this idea... and I see the comments people leave on her posts. SOme of them are downright disgusting. Take, for instance... this account... which celebrates red-headed women: https://www.instagram.com/redheadproblems_/?hl=en
My cousin is one of their 'models' -- and while some of those photos seems downright harmless, some of them are intended to be pinup and provocative.
Yes, you're always gonna find those people. But if your intentions are not for the attention of guys to take interest, why should it matter?
Social media is made for a lot of reasons. But its sole purpose in the beginning was made to connect people like family and friends and others in the community. There's always those people that change it to be for attention.
That sounds very controlling. What you said you were wearing hardly sounds provocative unless he was raised 50 years ago.
I guess he doesn't understand why you took the picture because he hasn't sincerely acknowledged what makes you happy, at least whithin his resolve
Don't let him control you like that. A tank top isn't even revealing. So I say no, don't remove the picture and don't delete your social media.
Well considering the tone of his texts is patronising no I wouldn't get rid of it. Its not for him to decide. And if he can really call things quit over a decision that isn't his to make then he clearly didn't care that much in the first place
Its not your fault that he's inscure or jealous. No. Thats no life to be enjoyed. I mean try it out, if he gets more controlling even after you deleted your social accnts, leave him. Controlig behavior is no sign if caring
Wow this guy wanted you to delete a pic because you were wearing jeans and a tank top? Man the guy sounds controlling. But i will say i have no sympathy for girls who notice strange behavior and yet continue to be someone who controls their life.
funny to see this. I recently vowed to do a social media purge for 6 weeks (no twitter, facebook, instagram). It's brought me much more time.
I've found that while social media has it's benefits it usually does more harm than good. It has never did anything for my relationships, usually it contributes to break ups.
He's suppose to be your boyfriend not your Daddy. You deserve better than that. Don't let him treat you like that.
At least delete the picture he doesn't like. He's not going to change his mind about it. But You don't have to delete your entire social media!
You do realize the photo still will be on the internet. Someone could have already saved the photo and could hack into her account if they know how to and repost the photo. The part of the internet that facebook and this site is on is on the.003% of the internet. What I am saying is he could come across the photo on some other site or blog that she has no idea even exists.
what? No, you shouldn't. He seems like a very controlling person.
I'd break up with someone that gets mad at such stupid things -.-
All these responses choosing to keep their social media over other people.
How sad.
They choose millions of no ones over an actual someone.
Make a choice, what's more important: your SM or your BF?
The only way you answer this way is if your a controlling jealous person also. Or you didn't read her post. This is a choice between a controlling asshole or her ability to think for herself.
@DizzyAster Why do you think if you have a boyfriend/girlfriend, fiancé/fiancée, husband/wife that you can not have any social media accounts?
@MysteriousDarkness I have seen SM break up good marriages that were fine UNTIL SM came in.
How do you explain that?
@DizzyAster You think that if at least one person in any relationship, engagement or marriage has any social media accounts then that relationship, engagement or marriage is going to fail unless they get rid of their social media accounts.
@DizzyAster It can help people meet up with others that are going to the same concert for example. People share recipes, places to go for vacation, places to go eat at, things to do etc. How do you explain that? How do you explain keeping in contact with family and friends that do not live in the same state as you do?
I doubt you will listen to anyone here but Ill try, like everyone else. Get rid of him, he is controlling and deluded.
Judging on the name, he's some strict untrusting prick. Keep that social media, he's got to learn how to trust you. If you lose him, you know you'll find better, this guy... No.
No, he have trust issues and is over protective and jealous over nothing, it can turn out to be in future really complicated, now he wants you to take down your social media in future he wants you to stop seeing your friends and maybe even family or go anywhere alone or talk to males in anyway trust me I know my own parents lived life like that and I don't wish for anyone same what my mom went true
Look at the name, You'll be wearing a burqa in no time...
I recommend you break up with him. He's way too controlling.
Wtf? He's clearly a controlling mysoginist. Leave him ASAP.
Dude is insecure as fuck! He will only get more and more controlling with time.
You're not reading his answer bc you ask the same thing here.
This person is controlling and I don't think you should be with him.
No, this guy's a total control freak. Don't let him control you!
Douche alert. You do what you wanna do and fuck the rest of the worlds opinion. Dump the ball and chain
Just dump him if he is this possessive and a control freak making big deals about social media.
No. He ain't your boss, or father. Dumb his wannabe abuser ass.
I don't think you need to delete your social media account. I think you need to delete him!
You honestly think it will stop at that? Cute, but naive.
I think you shouldn't step into him ruling your complete life
He is a looser. He afraid to lose you. Hence he wants to block you and want you to be just belong to him. Leave him a. s. a. p.
Umm. Keep the social media. Don't please other people. Abd that may be the first warning signs that he will control you.
Your a idiot for letting him have so much control over your life
No, that is super insecure and controlling of him.
What a jealous, controlling jerk.
FB is for your friends and family, not your lover.
No. He's way too controlling
Conditional love is NOT love.
I would dump him on the spot.
Dump him, he's a controlling asshole.
Not to be racist, I just noticed your bf's name. Different culture I guess.

I hope the above pic of retired pro wrestler Abdullah the Butcher doesn't offend anyone. I'm sure the Mods will remove it presently.
