It depends.

If a guy pushed me away coz he didn't love me too , then I'd let him go. I wouldn't fight for someone's, love, affection and attention. If it's not given willingly and eagerly then it's not worth having

If he loved me , but he had depression or was going through a bad time in his life , so he was unintentionally pushing me away, then I'd fight to keep us together. I'd support him to let him know I wasn't gonna give up on him through the most difficult times in his life

If he just wasn't making any effort in the relationship, and I was the only one trying to make the relationship survive , coz he seemed indifferent or disinterested in making it work then I'd let him go. You can't " fight" alone in a relationship. That would be futile

Why would you pester someone who pushes you away? They are pushing you away for a reason - either they need time away from you to sort things out, or you are making things hard on them. Ether way if they push you away and you "fight" to stay in their lives then you're pretty much guarantee that you're ending any relationship with this person -- becasue you're saying "I know you want a break but F you I don't care what YOU want". Yeah the best relationships are built on people who don't care about what each other want...

If I was dating? Leave. In marriage, I would not divorce but I would make whatever attempt to get to the root of the problem even if it means stepping on some eggshells. Other than that you can't force that person to love you when they may not feel the same way about you in return. Love is a choice, not fleeting feelings. If that person says they love you one minute and hate you the next, it's obvious that they don't know how to love you at all. And probably never did. Let alone don't know what they want.

I will try to find out the reason. If all avenues down that line of action are blocked, i will leave. i probably won't stop loving them (or maybe i will, depends on the situation), but i will leave.
If your love is not appreciated, then it's better to leave. Because love cannot be forced. Love is genuine only if it comes naturally, spontaneously, not when it is coaxed out.
