Everyone has their flaws.. If you're on a mission to the perfect man or woman, I wish you luck because you won't find one. Even if your man is perfect in your eyes, he could be completely imperfect in another person's eyes. To me, the "cons" that the man has in the photo are things that can be easily improved and worked upon. However, to another woman, they may be a deal-breaker.
Once you get to know someone long enough, you can virtually tell when they're lying. Also, when someone is comfortable enough around you, they won't feel the need to lie to you. Also, when you work on some thing long enough (lies, not disclosing feelings).. You are bound to make improvements.

I would have a serious conversation about him being more honest and open about his feelings. Bottling things up and lying isn't good for a relationship. If he doesn't want to change those things then it may be best to reconsider the relationship.
Questioning this relationship is going to drive you mad. Negative thoughts could impact on your future because the thought about what could have been if only you pursued will always remain in your mind. I suggest you take a leap of faith by giving this relationship a shot no matter what the situation.
