Why is my guy friend curious to know about my love life?

He asked me if I was dating anyone or if I was interested in anyone.

Guys, if you were to ask a female friend this would you be interested or would you just be asking for no real reason.

I usually ask this to know whether or not they're available. However, sometimes I ask to figure out what they're up to in that kind of thing. If they're always pursuing someone, I tend to proceed with caution. He is most likely interested though.

He's probably just wondering. I ask my guy friends that all the time. I'm not interested in them, I only ask because I'm curious. Now I'm not saying he doesn't like you because he could but more than likely he's only asking because he's curious.
