Well anybody can enter a relationship with a trans if they want, but if a straight person knows they are in a relationship with a trans is someone who technically in gay relationship but doesn't care cause the outside doesn't match the inside (DNA/Chromosomes). They are pretty much being fooled cause they know they are dating a biological man or woman but can't comprehend it cause their eyes/brain see male or female characteristics. It's an illusion that a lot of people fall for cause if the person still looked too much like the same sex, then more than likely that person wouldn't date them.

This optical illusion looks like it's moving slightly or not all when looking dead at it but if you advert your eyes a bit it looks like the whole thing is moving in your peripheral vision. It's the same thing with transgenderism, it looks good and authentic but it's not. So is that person gay? it's on the fence. if you don't know then your're just tricked if you do and don't mind, then hey you're in a gay relationship.
Not enough choices for me. Why do you have to be the opposite gender? Again, societal beliefs and labels are limiting life. It's not about what's between their legs it's about what's in their heads. Why can't we look at people as people without race or gender and then decide if they are someone to have a relationship with based on our own interaction with them? We are letting opinions of others drive our paradigms about life, instead of taking the high road where a person is a person and not a label. For a good view on what we should aspire to, watch Scene8 on Netflix by the Wachowski sisters (Who once were brothers) who made the Matrix series. It's inspiring. Sorry for the rant. Glad the topic came up though.
Personally, I consider an MTF trans as female and an FTM trans as male. I don't consider them as different genders. They are what they identify as.
Therefore a straight female dating a transgendered male is still dating a man, therefore, is still straight. And a lesbian female dating a transgendered female is still dating a woman, therefore, is still lesbian.
For example, If Alice is a lesbian. Alice fell in love with Betty, as she would be attracted to a woman. They go out together and later finds out that Betty was actually transgender, this wouldn't magically make her bisexual. She fell in love with a woman, not a man.
If you claim to be a transgender woman you have fucking problems. You don't have a uterus and will never have children or get a period. You were born with a dick and just because you get it cut off and replaced with a fake vag and get fake tits doesn't mean you're a woman. STOP TRYING you'll never be as cool as us REAL women
He is nor straight nor whatever. He is Mentally ill as the transgender he is having relationship with.
Don't get me wrong, I don't care what they wanna do with their bodies, it's their will... To my eyes they will always be their default gender and mentally ill.
Im not gonna argue about why a transgender person would be mentally ill although I very much disagree with you but why would the person dating a transgender person be mentally ill?
I would say yes and no, it's not abnormal to be attracted to a guy who is looking like a woman if you're straight because you're attracted by feminity. But if you keep dating and building a couple with a trans then you're gay to me. Nothing wrong in it by the way

I think we worry too much about labels these days. Thats why people now claim there are like 94 genders and 17,000 sexualities. Since you state transgender, then that person to all degrees other than their own feelings is a man still. I think it changes if you are dating a transsexual but a transgender could simply be a man who says he is a woman. So yes, id say that is gay rather than straight
If you're a guy and you're dating a trans woman you're straight. End of discussion.
That's really just not true because my goal as a straight male is to find a female partner I can impregnate and raise a family with
Literally all of you are wrong. A trans women is 100% a woman, so therefore you are straight.
Theyre still women.
That makes no sense. Black people aren't chemically different mentally.
you're literally just talking about stereotypes.
Neither are trans people! All the mainstream science has found no evidence that there is any difference between a cis-gendered male and that of a man who claims to be trans. Its entirely psychological. Well its funny how a trans person dresses and acts in all the stereotypical ways of that gender. How often do you see a trans female dressed as a tom boy? Or wearing unisex clothing? Being trans is basically a case of adapting stereotypes of the gender you claim to be. I have nothing against that at all but you don't magically change your sex. Notice how the words are "homosexual", "heterosexual" and "bisexual" not homogendered or whatever the word would be. Its about an attraction to the same sex not the same gender and a transgendered person is still the same sex they were when they were born
LMAO thats 100% wrong. I don't know where you get your facts from. Trans people have either more estrogen or testosterone in their brain's and in utero the body creates a male or female that doesn't match the gender of the child.
No, trans people "can" have that. So do men who have had testicular cancer or a huge variety of other reasons. Correlation does not equal causation. Please, for the love of God explain what you mean by "the body creates a male or female that doesn't match the gender of the child". If you mean what I think you mean then it would be possible within reasonable margins of error to predict if someone would become trans later in life or not. Maybe link me some peer-reviewed scientific articles on the subject and i'll be able to read them and understand where you're coming from. Since my facts are "wrong"
Most trans people have this. In the womb, you have two "shots" of estrogen or testosterone. The first one determines sex, the second one gender. They usually match, but sometimes they don't and thats when you get transgender people.
Shots are like bursts. And yes, this is scientifically provable😂😂😂 and you technically can, though No one really wants to.
Its explained really easily in a documentary called "the 9 months that made you." there's a wide variety of topics but its a worthwhile watch still.
I would never want my children's mother to be a trans "female" for so many reasons. Sure if I was drunk and wanted to fuck I might give in to a transgender but it'd probably be something I never tell anyone about and feel worse about myself for the rest of my life
Well that's your choice! But the whole "feel bad about myself" is gross and transphobic!
Again, as i JUST said "its your choice" but its transphobic to say "yeah i might fuck a trans person *but i would probably feel bad about myself afterwards*" the stars are the transphobic part. You dont have to fuck a trans person, but if you do dont be an awful prick about it.
Most men wouldn't even go so far as to ever consider sexual intercourse with a trans woman, but I'm somebody that's tried a lot of drugs and other harmful activities out of desire for a good time. I would never consider a relationship with a transgender though, that's like deciding to be fat or deciding to be a heroin addict, I aspire to be better than that
Do you like, not hear this man? He saying being a heroin addict is equal to dating a trans person. Thats transphobic. What isn't transphobic: i personally wouldn't want to be with a trans person. What IS transphobic: saying that you wouldn't sleep with a trans person because its gross and id feel bad about it like it was something wrong to do.
Did you watch the two hour documentary in 20 min? No? Then go watch it. Its on Netflix i think.
But there should be evidence beyond a documentary. And you can bet anything that there will be endless documentaries showing the opposite point of view. Documentaries just share peoples skewed views on any given topic. So why is there no research for what you're saying? Doesn't that send up red flags in your head even slightly?
Hey the purpose of this site is to hear other people's honest opinion. Im just sharing what I really feel and I think many men would agree with me but maybe not say it
It explains it better, i may be explaining it incorrectly. Watch the fucking thing or dont speak to me
@zxzxxx My brother is dating a trans woman, a lot of my friends date trans people, I've dated both trans men and transwomen.
OH MY GOD YOU DONT KNOW THAT UNTIL YOU WATCH IT. JUST WATCH IT OR STOP SPEAKING TO ME
Okay for one, im not retarded. I'm stating a fact. I've given you a documentary that very accurate and you won't even watch it to see what I'm talking about. Its literally an enjoyable documentary that you will get 100% FACTS from, but you refuse to watch it so you can keep arguing a point. I'm giving you a source of information, like you wanted but you're like " i dont want THIS information" boo hoo, you want to actually "prove me wrong"? Watch the fucking thing, instead of whatever else you're probably watching right now. So again, stop speaking unless you actually look at the info. Skip through the thing if you have to. I dont care. Dont call me retarded, thats ableist and incorrect.
So, if its an illness like you said, everyone with cancer should just kill themselves?
But a documentary should be supported by evidence. The fact its a documentary doesn't make it anymore true. Like i could tell you references from documentaries I've watched but you're basically saying "watch this propaganda that has no research or scientific references to support it
It does have scientific backing? What are you talking about?
Pbs is the one who pretty much funded them, a network that does its best to be unbiased and stay truthful. there's no propaganda in it, its literally exactly how we form in the womb. I don't know how that is propaganda. There. there's your "shred," now either shut the fuck up or go watch the documentary.
You can't disprove something if you refuse to look at it.
Here's the thing. A human can have a relationship with another human. Period, end of story.
How they work out the plumbing is kind of irrelevant now isn't it?
You specifically said relationship not sex. My goal in a relationship is to start my own family. I can't do that with someone who is not actually a naturally born female.
Maybe with a post op trans female, but a trans male even pre-op would be weird to date. I would never date an infertile person but if I was willing to I'd date a trans woman. Fucking a dude in the pussy and making eye contact would be... not for me.
For a specific example a straight guy probably could tolerate a girl who believes she's a guy and "gay". I'm basing my response based upon if gender and sex have nothing in common.
On the fence about it, but I'm going to have to with: No you cannot be straight if you date someone that's been a man before or still is.
I got an example:
Anna is a straight girl. Alice fell in love with Brent, as she is attracted to males. They go out together and later finds out that Brent was actually transgender. This doesn't magically make her bisexual or lesbian. She fell in love with a man, not a woman.
Who cares what label it makes you? Jut date who you like and stop caring so much about what stupid box it puts you in.
yes. That would make them 'pansexual', not heterosexual/straight.
Yes all depends on what gender you both identify the trans person as,
No (if you date a transgender person you're not straight)
Why dafuq would u want to.. Obviously she has mental problems she doesn't even know what sex she is.
I would. Same with a homosexual man. But, too many topics would be off the table for us to have a normal conversation.
I can name at least one such couple (the trans formed person is quite famous, too) so the answer is yes.
It's certainly possible. Which straight person will want it?
Some are certainly fascinated by TG.
I personally think someone who's transgender is a confused person.
No (if you date a transgender person you're not straight)
I got a quick example:
Alice is a lesbian. Alice fell in love with Betty, as she is attracted to a woman. They go out together and later finds out that Betty was actually transgender. This doesn't magically make her bisexual. She fell in love with a woman, not a man.
@RachelleDraws No. Alice fell in love with betty because she THOUGHT she was a woman but under false pretenses. That's called trickery. That's like sneaking meat in a vegetarians food but saying it's that he ate it because he THOUGHT it was vegetarian
@Myquietsoul She still is a woman. She just wasn't born one. She still looks like a female and has female body parts via surgery.
@RachelleDraws No. That's not how that works. That like saying a white guy is black just because he put on blackface. Plastic doesn't make you the other gender as much as plastic surgery doesn't make you younger. It's deceitful to think otherwise.
@Myquietsoul Both of these are different. Blackface is makeup and not permanent and age cannot be changed at all without breaking the laws of physics.
@RachelleDraws My point exactly
@Myquietsoul Gender can be changed. Gender is an identity.
@RachelleDraws No
@Myquietsoul Yes. Stop being so closed minded.
@RachelleDraws I'm not close minded just because I don't agree with you. I considered your point of view but just don't agree. You need to look up the actual definition and stop being so close minded
@Myquietsoul You're being transphobic.
@RachelleDraws K
I've got a better question. Who the fuck CARES?
Yes, you're dating a trans woman.
That's a logical fallacie. Just cause Angelina has a abnormality/birth defect doesn't make trans women biological women. It's in Angelina's dna that she is in fact a woman even if she doesn't have her uterus. The norm and anatomy of women is that women have and are born with real functioning uterus's, vagina, and experience menstrual cycles. Just cause some women have trouble with their bodies or can't do some of those things due health complications doesn't make trans women actually women. Trans women can't do those things cause they are biologically men and will never experience such things.
Yes, but the correct term is pansexual.
