+1 yFinding love becomes harder as you age because your social avenues are reduced than when you were in school or college. If you are still single or become single in your late 20s and 30s, then it becomes a real challenge, because chances are most of your social circle is going to be paired off. Not everyone wants to play matchmaker either. And then you have to rely on online dating websites (which are a real crapshoot, especially for men) that require you to create this picture perfect profile to get any sort of consistency in dating. OR, you have to join multiple clubs and hope that some of the women (from a man's perspective) are single and compatible to you and try not to come off too desperate or needy.
At least when you are young you will usually be in the environment to meet multiple potential mates, and while sometimes games will be played, young folks tend to not know exactly what they want and will try out multiple people to see who is the best for them.
Older folks tend to have this idea of what they want what they learned from past relationships and can be kind of rigid which increases their chances that they will miss out on a compatible mate just because of a few preconceived notions. Some older folks may be inexperienced relative to their peers in their age group (like me) and have trouble overcoming the skill gap in socializing and dating, which puts them at somewhat of a disadvantage too.
On the other hand, older folks tend to be more mature and are willing to not just settle (which is a positive of being very specific and choosey), which can lead to the potential for REAL authentic love and not just a hazy idea of what love should be.11 Reply- +1 y

+1 yFor me it came in waves, first it was hard because I was learning what I was looking for in a woman. Then it was easier closer to 18 because I was able to come and go when I pleased. Getting to mid 20's made it even more easier because the dating pool is much bigger. After 30's it got harder because my priorities changed and my criteria became more refined.

Still single
Yes... coz younger times u r literally stupid n immature... u see the world in a childish way... then u r priorities in a relation is different but once u grow u understanding of relations are more mature... you turn more sensible n understand what u actually want from a relationship

+1 yIn my case, I have never been able to find love ever, so cheating would be the ultimate deal-breaker. There are no second chances, in a marred relationship. It would be time to move on, because the trust is betrayed.

Anonymous(30-35)+1 yFor men 10 - 20 years old it's hard because no money
For men 20 - 30 years old it's harder because no money and the girls are being full of themselves since they are in their prime. Most of them are also taken by now.
For men 30 - 40 years old it's the hardest because they never had a relationship in the past and women find it to be a red flag. By now there are even lesser available or single women to choose from, so it's pretty much no choice anymore.
For men 40 - 50 years old it stopped mattering. By now they have at least paid a prostitute or ordered a sex robot and got into premium membership of 3 porn sites.20 ReplyThe older the easier, most of the times when you're older you're tired of the stupid and confusing game. You just want to settle down and have kids before its too late. When you're young (20-30y/o) then you're most likely confusing, you don't know your life choices and you've a much younger game that everything is new to you. So less likely to settle down when you can't even settle your own ass down.
- the only downside with finding love when you're older is that people become boring in a specific age, and most just wants to sit at home and watch TV and do nothing at home.00 Reply
+1 yIt's harder as you get old, because of the burden of the past relationships, it could also be easier as you get old because of the lessons learned from the past relationships. It is dependent on how the person has adapted through the years. Generallt i believe it gets harder because you lose options too. The older you get the more divorced singles you meet, with kids and stuff, depending if its cool with you. The older you get the more you are left with the lefrovers of society that have not yet been taken seriously. Logically, the older you get, the question why am i still single or not inlove becomes an eye opener. It could also be easier because the older you get, the more you understand yourself and perhaps love yourself more, that you have accepted yourself. The first step to finding love is loving yourself first. As the saying goes, the greatest thing in life is to love and be loved in return. So yes, case to case basis.
00 ReplyI believe there is a "mid-point" in your life where it is the easiest to find love, then after that point, the older you get, the harder it is. But for people below their 20's, who are just starting to live by themselves and start work, it gets increasingly easier to find love

+1 yI've noticed that no matter the age, it's hard. The mindset of people has changed. Its no longer go out and find a date but rather dating sites and apps. And a lot of my encounters with both sexes has been focused on sex and only sex or sex than a relationship. Its like wanting a taste test before committing to something. This way of going about things is what makes it hard for me.

+1 yIt’s easier because adults know what they want more so than children or teens. You’ll also forego all the bullshit and just be straight up with each other.
