There's no way they don't secretly think I'm absolutely pathetic.
What would you think if you had a 19 year old son who never had a girlfriend/brought a girl home?
There's no way they don't secretly think I'm absolutely pathetic.
Neither I nor my partner had a serious relationship before we got together which was when we were 20 and 19 so if we had a kid (we don't want kids but for the purpose of the question we'll pretend we do) we'd see them as normal if they were the same.
Culture is so flawed that we expect everyone to be straight and monogamous and to follow life paths that hit arbitrary targets at arbitrary set times. Reality doesn't follow those rules and never has
We really haven't, capitalism has lied to you. People have always been diverse
The whole idea that you need to find a heterosexual life partner as soon as possible and buy your own home away from your parents with a lawn and 2.7 children is a ploy to keep capitalism running; to create a steady stream of workers and consumers and a reserve army of labour in the form of women carrying out unpaid housework and childcare, and have those 2.7 children in each household indoctrinated into the same model, while making it easier for parentage to be established and therefore to assign inheritance
Your opinion is 100% backwards.
We used to be able to live in a world with real families as the core building block of society. Men went out and did shitty work so women wouldn't have to. In turn, women would stay home and raise children. It's a natural part of life to start your own family. Personally, I'll be childfree, but it's that way for most people. A culture needs a next generation to continue it.
Capitalism when paired with nationalism works well. It's when you have soulless, uncaring capitalists that your culture begins to degenerate.
When capitalism fucks up is when you have the women join the workforce, for whatever reason, and now the value of labor is literally halved. The family is slowly broken down and things like divorce and single-motherhood, bastard children and the like will be plagues unto society. These phenomenons will leave a generation with poor guidance, and to face a cycle of crime, failure and poverty. Capitalism only fails when it destroys culture.
If your view of history only goes back as far as the industrial revolution.. Prior to that extended families were the norm and the life of most people was much closer to communal living.
Capitalism is a sinking ship because it can't cope with the breakdown of gender, sure, but more importantly because it's in no way prepared for the automation of the three Ds (work that is dull, dirty and/or dangerous) which is rapidly becoming a reality. The Luddites were right and that spells revolution.
But in the meantime have fun being miserable because you can't live up to the illusion of the American Dream I guess
The breakdown of gender is unnatural. It is cultural Marxism that is meant to destroy us.
I can understand that if we were to go full NatSoc that we could in theory work to modernize that family unit of the past, with would certainly have some benefits.
However, would I as the consumer, the person who is catered to by the free market going to have as much choice in such a society? Likely not. The freedom that humans hold dear is worth something to me.
What are your ideas for the solution to fix the family? Go full NatSoc for real? Would America culturally be able to live with that?
'Cultural Marxism' is an antisemitic dog whistle designed to get people to mistrust academia and therefore become susceptible to believing 'alternative facts'
Concepts of gender have always varied cross culturally, because it's purely cultural. Therefore, it can change and be broken down.
Under capitalism the majority of us are wage slaves. Wage slaves are not free, and capitalist meritocracy is a lie.
I believe in normalising family diversity; especially the idea of it being normal to live with people who are neither your partners nor blood relatives. At the very least localised social services should have more power and the nuclear family shouldn't be held as sacred and impenetrably private, because that's a breeding ground for domestic abuse: one adult reliant on another financially; isolation from other adults who could catch instances of abuse and intervene; the strain of childcare being shared between just two people, realistically often one person bearing most of the burden- that's hella unnatural; the more people helping to raise kids the better, it's hard work! Plus kids benefit from socialising with a wide range of people of different ages
As I said, have fun being miserable prior to the fall of capitalism. After that hopefully join us creating self sufficient communities and earthships and stuff.
You're crazy if you think your leftism will bring you anything but Venezuelan Holodomor with pink haired faggots and a bunch of imported Muslims integrated in so you could starve them too.
Your degeneracy will consume you and your society every time. The economics will kill your body and the culture will kill your hearts.
Again, have fun thinking that. We'll be ready for you in our diverse and peaceful global community when you stop trying to be an edgelord
My brother is in his mid twenties and never had a girlfriend or been in any kind of relationship within any capacity with a girl. So you're not alone :)
If I was a mother, I wouldn't worry about it. But then again I'm not a mother lol
Eh, you're the same as myself currently and all of my friends. You're fine don't worry.
I really wouldn't give a shit. He can do whatever he likes or wants to as long as he's able to have a job and support himself and not get in trouble with the law. I really can care less about whether he lost his virginity or had his first relationship, that's entirely on him to decide what he wants to do with his life.
So who cares maybe he's waiting for someone maybe he's gay
I don't think they think that, because one time my mom found some suggestive anime wallpapers of mine left up on my laptop and started bothering me about it. "Who is this? Why is this your wallpaper? Is this what you're attracted to?", none of these questions I answered by the way. I respectfully told her that it wasn't any of her business.
And it's really nobody's business what you're attracted to
I wouldn't care if it's hybrid creatures with long penis like things with vaginas at the end
