Do you believe in true love/ soul mates?

As someone who experienced feeling one with someone before on this really deep level where it felt like we had the same soul i truly believe they are out there. There are many infact, and i experienced true love at least from my side to them twice. Sadly both times it ended in me being heart broken as the first girl was already taken prior to me coming in her life but due to a fight she didn't immediately tell me hoping for feelings to slowly develop. Because we where so close she fell for me within a week and that really screwed over her (twisted) plan but once they got back together i was clearly no longer needed in her life.

The second girl i had an extreme bond with to, the love from my side was definitely true and beyond just ordinary feelings. It felt like she was my twin sister in a way and we connected to the deepest of levels. Sadly this was a case of opposites attract and in the end it did not work out because we where to different.

Ever since i have been waiting for the third (time is the charm) girl to arrive in my life and being able to love her to the fullest. I am totally ready to take her in my arms and give myself to her when we finally meet and bond well.

There was a time, I was sure about it with all my existence as probably many others but, I don't really know anymore. True love is more of a choice in my opinion. And it doesn't equal to soulmate. I have no logical explanation of a soulmate but I've had one and it was just the one , so I'm biased about it all.

With time and through experiences in life, most of us just grow out of this train of thought and adopt a more rational approach, almost inevitably, is what I believe. All the romance about it all is def making everything else bearable though , surely.

I think that true love is a thing, but you don’t have a specific soulmate. For example, my grandma died when I was young and I know my granddad truly loved her, however he has now remarried. I think that the woman he has married now he is also truly in love with.

Yes, I do believe there are multiple people out there that can be our "soulmate". I don't believe there is one specific person that is meant for us. There are too many people in this world for only one of them to be meant for us.

Love isn't something a person gets at first sight. Its a process that takes place. You learn to love the thing you hate about that person but with the upmost respect in the world. You learn that you and that person was raised differently and your not always going to agree but your will to sacarfice a little bit of yourself for them because you love them that much, that its nothing to adjust to them. However, it should go hand to hand. If not thats not love thats called for the moment. Which also leads to people taking advantage of you and your time. Thats all we have on this planet. Be wise!

No. There are 7 billion+ people in the world. The only thing that ties people together is similar interests and perspectives. Someone could have the best chemistry with someone then their parents could decide they don't like them and because they prioritize their parents choice over their own, they decide not to go into it. Location is also a factor. You think that with 195 countries in the world, your soul mate just happens to be in the one that you're in? Use common sense. Everything is all about convenience for humans.

I have to believe, because my parents next week will be celebrating their 56th anniversary & being that they're only 20 and 15 years respectively, older than myself we tend to always go back and talk about the 50ish and 60's. I believe in true love, but not soul mates. I know it sounds very naive, but I believe the love I have for my current girlfriend is true and very strong. I always care about her and make sure that she's happier. Soul mates, on the other hand, aren't realistic because nobody on the planet is perfect for another person. Close to perfect, sure, but never fully perfect. Even a relationship without any arguments is considered bad these days.
