Cool off. What's a girl to do when he said that?

Okay,so we were getting along well just last week, then all of sudden, he proposed a cool off! Claiming that he tried to work things out, but failed. He said that he no longer know if his staying in the relationship just because he doesn't want to waste the 2 years of being together. He also said that he'd like to figure something out while were on the cool off state. He's asking me to give him 2 months! which is exactly our supposedly 3rd anniversary. I don't know what to do. I kept begging him to try and fix things but he doesn't want to. He said he wanted time and then try to work it out again after the cool off. He said this all in text and he doesn't want to talk it out personally.

Do you think he means it? I mean why tell it all in text and not personally or by phone? What am I to do? I want him back. badly.

Yes, he probably means it.

Sadly, the only thing you can do is... nothing. You can't change his mind, you can't make him love you, and you can't make him want to spend time with you.

Your choices are to either move on, or to wait for him to possibly, maybe, just maybe come back to you (after the girl he dates over the next 2 months has dumped him for some lame personality defect..). It seems obvious to me from what you wrote that he has moved on or is trying to move on, but hasn't the balls to tell you, and wants to keep you in his back pocket so he can fall back on you if his new interest doesn't work out.

My advice to you is to dump the loser and find a a guy who absolutely loves to spend time with you..

What you wrote was a bit harsh but I was thinking about it too the whole time, I was just too scared to admit it to myself that he did move on and is keeping me just in case he changed his mind.

I think just give him time to think. But if he don't talk to you well don't talk to him. Say it like this, use reverse psychology and tell him you need time for yourself as well. Make him beg to be with you again so you could know how much he loves you, and right there listen to him of what he got to say to you. But if he doesn't bother to talk to you well he wasn't the guy for you. I hope this helps and I'm sorry if this would make your relationship worst. It's just an advice.

Well,he finally dropped the bomb and said, "Let's stop this,don't wait for me anymore." But after a few pleadings from me, he said that he no longer no what to do and his mind is in a mess. He asked me to give him 2 more weeks. He said it all in text.

My question is, what is he trying to play with me? Wait for him for two weeks just to find out that in the end, he no longer want to be with me? Am I fall back? someone he'd get back to after having the time of his life.
