When people get really drunk why do they always apologize for everything?

When I got really drunk I remembered saying sorry for every little thing. Do people really mean what they say when they are drunk?

I believe that the truth comes out when people are drunk. Its because you don't care what people think when your drunk so you say what your to scared to say when your sober. It happens all the time. Like with me, I had the guy I was really close with, I called him my brother, anyways I cut it off with him becuase of a few reasons and everyone was so surprised that I didn't care anymore or that I didn't love him anymore. well truth is that I loved him a lot and I never told anyone, but one night when I got drunk that's all I said, over and over and over again so people found out. So yes I do believe the truth comes out when your drunk.

I definitely think the truth comes out when you're drunk. Like everybody said, you don't care as much about what people think. It lowers your inhibitions so you are inclined to say and do things you ordinarily wouldn't. Not because you don't WANT to say or do those things, but because something is holding you back normally. It's like that little voice in your head that tells you to shut up or stop doing something before you make an ass of yourself. the alcohol silences that little voice, lol.

I am brutally honest when I'm drunk. I say things I regret all the time. But they are all things I mean. And I say sorry a lot when I'm drinking too, I don't know why that is.

Most likely you have a hidden thought inside your head that's telling you you might say something bad when your drunk, and that you want to say sorry but you can't control your mouth, so your brain probably does it for you. if that makes sense. =P

People shouldn't really take offence from being drunk, because you can't think properly.

in my pov i think drunk people can say things they mean to say or say things they’ll regret. the last 2 times i got drunk i was crying historically to my friends. i was apologizing to each and everyone of them, for everything i did to make them sad or mad. i was also trying to apologize to my ex who broke up with me a year ago, i won't lie. i meant what i said lol
