How do I get my boyfriend's friends to stop complimenting me?

I've been dating my boyfriend for about 5 months now. In the beginning of the relationship, his friends were friendly but nothing out of the ordinary.

Recently though, a few of them have started talking to me on their own- texting, etc. I didn't think anything of it since I would consider them my friends.

Now two of my boyfriends best friends won't stop commenting on how "beautiful" they think I am, and what they would do if I wasn't dating my boyfriend. I told them to stop but it hasn't. I don't know if I should mention it to my boyfriend? He gets pretty jealous about those things...

Tell your boyfriend. He needs to know what kind of 'friends' he has. Also, this is probably unlikely, but have you considered that your boyfriend might be testing you to see what you say back? I doubt it, but if he's got trust and jealousy issues, it could be possible. But I'd say more than likely his friends are used to you being the main girl they see, cause your always with your boyfriend, so they crush on you, otherwise they just look up to your boyfriend and think that cause your his girlfriend, you must be amazing. My advice is to tell the boyfriend, because if it comes out any other way, you will look as though you are in the wrong, and he will probably believe his friends, but if your upfront and honest from the beginning, and warn him and let him see the messages and the way they look at you etc. he'll believe you. Don't hide anything in a relationship.

i had the same problem, except the guys weren't my boyfriends friends, but he knew them. my boyfriend is the jealous type. I told him that they liked me and he said he would fix it, knowing him, that means a fight, because that's what he does when someone threatens his relationship with, his friends, or his girlfriend in 1 way or another. but he was protecting me.

That's exactly it. There were already problems a few months ago when one of his friends actually tried to kiss me- he kicked the guys ass. I don't want to be the cause of ANY fighting, especially with his friends.

I told them both that it made me really uncomfortable, and that I was dating my boyfriend and that I care about him and I didn't appreciate the comments they were making and I didn't think he would either.

It worked on 1 of them, the other no.

They both sorta laughed it off. :\

when guys I don't like try to come on to me, I kick them where the sun don't shine ;) but that's just me.

I'd say make them feel uncomfortable, fish for their compliments in front of your boyfriend with his friends and see how it plays out then as I doubt your boyfriend will be comfortable/happy with it if they would compliment you but quite frankly most guys won't say it in front of their boyfriends and try to do it behind his back to avoid ruining their friendship.

If you just tell your boyfriend, its a different story and he'll probably take care of it but I don't think you should stand between him and his friends in a direct way as in the end, you'll be the one taking the blame.

Uhm... you see usually what's in demand becomes even more so. Since you're dating a guy and his friends see that they unwittingly want to have you too! (I know, I know.. you're not a thing to have... tell that our animal part inside of every man ;) )

Just learn to ignore this and enjoy your relationship! Make fun of their compliments, don't just swallow them. Don't offend anyone though. Just make sure they know what they're doing isn't getting them anywhere they want.

I think you should tell them over the phone or in person how inappropriate their behavior is and that they must stop immediately cause you don't like it.

If they continue after that, I would tell your boyfriend because they're clearly not his friend if they're trying to cut his grass right under his nose! I don't think these are men he can trust, so maybe you should tell him either way, I wouldn't want sneaky f****ing friends like that!
