My boyfriend wants me to organise him a party for his 30th birthday when he acted like a stupid bitch on my last birthday and simply took me to dinner where he complained because I didn't clean the house for the whole time.

My reasoning is that I don't feel he deserves the effort that goes into organising a party when he did nothing in comparison for my birthday. His reasoning is that he only turns 30 once and has never had a birthday party. I never did either so I think he's being stupid.

Anyways we are now on silent treatment because he's wrong.

You asked the initial question in incredibly hostile language. The way you phrased it suggests either you had not long had the interaction with him and either you were venting because you couldn't say anything to him or that you were still too angry to be objective.

"Silent treatment" is unhealthy, as is your assertion that he's "wrong" in such an absolute way.

You have a difference of opinion. Since your profile indicates you're 28, if you want to still be with this guy for your 30th birthday I'd suggest you find a way to be happy instead of right.

Yeah he doesn’t sound like he is being fair about it. Plus you can’t really ask someone to throw you a party. They either have to want to do it on their own or not. Why doesn’t he throw it himself or get one of his guy friends to do it? Hopefully he is reading some of these responses here and will come around.
