My boyfriend picks shows and movies with female nudity?

It's uncomfortable for me, I don't get it. So I said, we're watching Magic Mike tonight. He said, I don't feel like watching that. Yet he doesn't ask me if I'm ok with the movies he picks. It's bothering me and we got in a fight about it tonight. I feel it's disrespectful. Thoughts?

It depends on what you mean by "with female nudity." Is the nudity gratuitous, or more a part of the plot. Is the nudity fairly brief, or it is long, or recurring in the movie? Are just some of the moves he picks containing nudity, or is it a general theme of most any movie he wants to watch? If it's brief, and not in most movies he wants to watch, then you are being too picky. If he wants nudity as a general theme in a lot of his movies, then he is being disrespectful.

Are they movies based around naked women, or do they *happen* to have some female nudity? Magic mike is pretty much movies based around sexualizing men, while some movies may have one or two topless scenes.

It's not a great idea to try to *stick it* to your boyfriend. Tons of movies have female nudity in it. Unless he's picking girls on wild or something like that then you're getting jealous over something minor

Because it makes me uncomfortable. He doesn't watch porn anymore (so he says) and that show is soft for porn. I just don't like it. I wish I could be one I the "cool" girls who don't care, but I'm not. And he knows this, I never have been. He promises all the time, I'll do anything to make you feel loved and secure and to never ruin this. I just feel lost

Yeah my dad used to do that. It is hard to find a movie without nudity. I just watch the shape of water which featured a full frontal. I think the goal is to find a movie where sex and crude humor is not the focus. Sometimes you just have to take something out. But a major issue is agreement with you boyfriend. You got to lay down the rules and if he does not exist
Respect them take a stance. Or simply good, you can watch movies on you own time, with me we compremise

Maybe he wants to be close to you, more precisely he wants to be sexual with you. Watching nude or erotic movie with partner makes you sexually exited & for some people it's opposite. Maybe he has fantasy or something. You should clear out once, or if you ever have been sexual try once watching movie ( you can just kiss), you'll figure out the rest

Have you informed him that you don't like watching movies with female nudity? If you expect him to initiate that line of communication, but he never does, you're only shooting yourself in the foot by silence.

You're right to complain. Not that i have any issues with nudity in movies, I just think he should let you pick the movie 50% of the time.
