How does a guy stop liking you overnight?

He's had a crush on me since high school, but said he didn't have the guts to come up to me. We're now juniors in college at separate Universities. We would text each other everyday. We've been talking for 3 months and I got annoyed, because he never called much. But he's never been much of a talker on the phone even when we started talking. I texted him one day and sort of gave him an ultimatum and he text me a day later in the morning and said he wanted me to cool down before we talked again and said he was sorry with a sad face. Then I called him that same morning after I read his text to apologize if I hurt his feelings, but he never called me back until I called him again the next week. Since then everything has been down hill. We had never gone more than two days without talking to each other and all of a sudden we went a week. When I expressed my feelings to him I wasn't being a rude bitch, I just expressed that I didn't appreciate him not calling me and that we weren't going to work if things didn't change. But I was trying to be as nice as possible, I even told him I didn't want to rush him into anything, but that I just really needed to know if he took us seriously. I felt like we were so close as a long distance dating (not bf/gf) relationship could be. We even exchanged bears to keep in our rooms to remind us of each other. Everything was great we had planned to spend Thanksgiving break and Christmas together, now I don't know if that's going to happen. I was hoping by Thanksgiving we would be official. It makes me sad and mad at the same time for wasting my time. So my question is how does a guy stop liking you overnight? Or did he ever really like me that much to begin with?

Well without want to be rude your are still 18 years old you will both have plenty of experiences in your sex/love/dating life.If you werent had a strong bond between you to connect you and the distance is big between you then it is going to finish one day-your relationship-.All you have to do is to relax and not getting mad about just try to keep friendly on him and if you see he is respond on you then try to make it more erotic.Independable what gonna happen now just keep your patient and have a talk him him face to face on Xmas or whenever meet each other.All I know from my experience distance and phone (either calls either sms) can make a relation survive without real face to face and body to body connection

Dont get disappointed though it allmight fix when you meet but always keep a defense for yourself

This is the main reason why I try to convince people to ACT ON THEIR FEELINGS BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE.

If he liked you in High School, it's a little late to say "Oh by the way.."

Not only that, long distance relationships would tear those feelings you had for each other apart faster than Bill Cosby at a pudding pop convention. As soon as you get that first touch, that first kiss, hug, yatta yatta, you both will automatically want more. I (personally) am a very physical person. I don't see how relationships can work based on words on a screen or a voice without a face. There is always something missing.

Either way, the dude is shy. I would hope you'd have figured that much out at least. And not everyone is a master problem-solver, so sometimes you have to give a little to get a little.

Yeah I did start to want more after I kissed him on our second date lol. And I've been in two long distant relationships and we didn't break up, because of that. The key is communication, which is why I felt weird just texting him all the time instead of talking to him on the phone. And I do realize he's shy, but how shy can a popular football player be who's known for being a player? I know it's possible, but I just don't get that. Thank you

I think he's confused and doesn't know what he wants. Be patient and don't push him but continue your friendship. He knows how you feel so the ball is in his court.

I feel like he's playing games and I'm not feeling that. I mean how hard is it to pick up the phone and call me back? Unless he's afraid of what I might say, which I doubt. He's seriously ignoring me. And at this point I feel like telling him I don't wanna talk to him anymore and to bring my bear back lol. Thanks for your advice.

How did THAT happen?! How did it go from him crushing on you from afar, to the two of you becoming close friends (at least close enough where ya texted each other everyday)?

He asked me for my number on facebook over the summer.

No when we first talked on the phone. But I sorta already knew, because he always stared at me in school.
