I caught my boyfriend with another girl at the bar?

Sat. night my friend and I went to a local bar. After being there for a min., I noticed my boyfriend's roommates from across the way. Sitting behind them, in a dimly lit booth, was my boyfriend and some random girl. Being in the state I was in (drunk), I chose not to approach them, but instead, gave him the opportunity to approach me and potentially, introduce his new friend. After making eye contact from across the room, he, his new friend, and roommates promptly left the bar. So, where does this leave me?

Prior to seeing him out, we hadn't spoken in over a day. He was in the middle of moving and I was busy working- this didn't bother me. The last time we hung out, was great-- we talked underneath the stars until 4 am! Nothing seemed out of the ordinary or different. We've been dating for 4 mo now and everything's been great. until now. The only thing that could have any kind of impact on this, would be his ex girlfriend. They dated for 3 years and she was crazy (from what I hear). Crazy, as in, throwing stuff at him, breaking pictures, attempting to commit suicide etc. But even so, he's been free of her, for 7months before we even met one another. Could he be a commitment phob?

It's now been 2 days- and I've received no phone, no texts and/or e-mails. This hurts. What if he never calls, do I move on, w/o any type of closure or should I get in contact with him? Granted, the girl he was with could just be a friend, but, I think not. seeing as how he disappeared and has yet to get in touch with me. He owes me some sort of explanation, at least- it's the only fair and right thing to do.

As of yesterday, I received a text (now, 4 days later), that read: I'm very sorry about the other night. I feel as though we are better off as friends." And I responded: "Youre not worth wasting anymore TEXT MESSAGES." Is this appropriate?
