I fell for him from the start. and I agreed to be his f*ck buddy hoping he would want more...we became best friends. Know everything about each other. I've been there when he was with all his girlfriends and his current one... & he was there when I was dating other guys. He says our souls are connected.



The other night I got so fed up with him complaining about his teenage girlfriend being so immature (he's 20) that I blurted out that he should be with someone who really loves him. Mistake...I had to tell him then...after that he became so angry & just started off on these ridiculous remarks and finally got around to saying we would never be together & said that I need to get rid of my feelings because he needs me as his best friend...

I told him that wasn't fair & we've decided to take a break from each other...it's killing me

We've been through so much together...i can't be his best friend and love him at the same time

A couple days ago his grandpa died & he said I was the only one who is really there for him and he told me he loved me and he wanted to be with me. I told him not to mess with my feelings & he said he wasn't. The next morning he took it all back.

Unfortunately, you entered into the f*** buddy situation with dishonest intentions. You were not in the same place he was and have been deceiving him about your true feelings all along. It's not just about the sex, which may complicate things. But also, it's difficult for one person to be comfortable being close with someone who had ulterior motives. It also calls into question every bit of advice you've ever given him about his past girlfriends and dating in general.

From a best friend standpoint, that MAY feel like a huge betrayal to him. I don't know because I'm not in his shoes. My best suggestion is, when you get back in touch with him, be sincere and acknowledge that what you did may have hurt him. Let him know that the friendship is the most important thing to you, not the sex or the romantic feelings. If you can back up your words with action... over time, he should be able to forgive you and move forward.

Sorry to hear about it.. I have had a few friends with benefits deals.. One in particular kept reminding me that we are just fwb.. It was funny to me.. becuase whoever I am with I treat with respect.. and give them my attention when I am with them... Anyway I always said.. yep.. I didn't forget.. well eventually when we quit seeing each other.. becuase I had met a special someone... She took it very very very hard...

It so sucks to be in that situation.. but be careful what you sign up for.. You broke the rules he didn't.. Who knows with some time he may reconsider..?
