Can you trick yourself into loving someone?

Say someone loves you and you're just so miserable and tired of being alone that you start to phsyc yourself into thinking you love that person back. will you everntually fall in-love wit tem, or will it all remain on big trick on yourself?

It all depends. I once dated a girl whose parents married and had children out of convenience; they worked together, were getting older, and both wanted children; they made a contract, got married, had 2 kids. I met these 2 people, and best parents I have ever met. Can't say they were the best lovers, but they were happy. I spoke to the lady and she said what made it work is that both wanted children and once the children came, that's what got them closer. So I think that if you do it because of other circumstances like this couple did, it would work; however, if you do it just because you want to be loved or you don't want to be alone, I think it would fail.

Im gonna have to agree with you. I have a friend who dated this guy for four years and was deeply in love. or so she says. then months later she is dating another guy. After maybe a year they are engaged to be married. The guy treats her like crap and is pretty much an ass. She confessed that she thinks she has to make it work because her last relationship fell through even though she thought it was rock solid.

You can keep lying to yourself but eventually you will catch on.

Yeah you are damn right.If you thinkin that halt and don't even venture in to that because it wll be like playing with someones emotions which is very dangerous and life threghtening.
