People in the west are so bitter, negative and miserable.
No wonder why the depression and divorce rates are high in the west and 50% of children are born out of wedlock as illegitimate sin children. I wonder if true love even exists in the western society.

I have a boyfriend and he said he doesn't want to touch me before marriage and I will not let him touch me before marriage. We agreed on no physical relationship before marriage. I am in a long distant relationship. I never had a face to face conversation even though i saw him in person. After 3 months of the relationship, his father asked for my hand in marriage. They say that once the man marries the women, if they divorce, she gets half or all , depending. I always here about relationships not lasting nowadays and marriage isn't really that necessary to be a in relationship for everyone.

Having kids is a different thing and not everyone wants to go through with the stress of raising them, especially when you link it to the first point to it, as having children limits your freedom and potential ability to live your life - yes, there's pros and cons to it, but it's a full time responsibility and it's not for everyone and one shouldn't have kids, just for the sake of having them either.

Also, I do hear a lot about men losing everything when they divorce and if they're not religious and marriage is unnecessary for them, then what's the point, especially considering how some people nowadays, having sex and kids before marriage.

For me, given my situation, it's a pointless tradition, but I understand why some people do it, like for religious reasons.
