It happened to me. Like how someone said here, the logistics to maintain it, and even to close the distance, is a nightmare. The distance in my case was too much for both. We had to synchronize our schedules (7-8 hours difference), and attend our offline life. But I think in the end we only fall in love with some aspects of each other. The internet had us limited to a screen, text, video and audio, nothing else. Our only tangible contact was through mailing. So, who knows if we would have a promising future. It stayed as assumption.

As for me, I think I could probably fall in love, or at least fall into a lot of attraction and romantic interest towards a woman just by reading what came from her mind and heart.

Yes you can. I meet the woman that was the center of my world for 15 years. We met online, never thinking would ever meet. We did not share pictures, only our thoughts. 6 months later we met and knew we where in live and got married 4 month later. We raised a family, owned our home , and were happy.

So yeah you can fall in love online. Permanently? Yeah, well that’s another story.
