Because having sex with somebody is a great way to get attached to them, for starters. It shouldn't come as a surprise really. But we live in a world where guys having sex get praised and girls can be shamed. So why would a guy firstly
1. Not have sex
2. If after talking and also having sex, grow emotionally attached
And 3. It's just part of getting to know people sometimes, I don't really agree with this sort of stigma there is on casual sex. For some people, having sex is part of the selection process. Everyone is different and might do it for different reasons so you'd have to ask whoever's done that stuff to you?

Because... saying you don't know what you want sounds "weak", and girls are constantly saying they don't like weak men. SO... definitively saying "I don't want a serious relationship" at the start leaves the girl thinking "Ok, at least I know what I'm getting into if I choose to go there". It's a LOT easier to say, down the road, "I didn't want anything serious at the start, wasn't looking for it... but being with you changed that !" Etc. Now the girl will either buy it or not, based on what SHE wants at this time. That's why guys do it.
Oh please. If I had a dollar for every time a woman started one way and changed later I’d be rich. Women are notorious for deciding to leave a man because he’s not what she wants after years of her saying he was great.

Yeah... very few guys do that. I think you mean women. Since the majority of females pretend they want casual sex and then always "fall for" the dude once the oxytocin kicks in.
For some guys when they're young they just want to experiment and have as much sex as they can. And when they get older they realize they want to settle down with one woman.
Maybe you just a catch. So much so that guys want to commit after getting to know you.
They mostly want a relationship from the start but they don't want to put too much pressure on the woman. After a while two things happen, they either like you and want the relationship or they realize they are not really that into you and stop wanting a relationship.
lol this has never happened to me. The guy normally never changes his mind about not wanting a serious relationship.
People change their mind. Sometimes you don't realize what you want until you get a taste of it.
Because maybe they really don’t want but then when they get to know you, they figure out you are something they like.

Cause if you tell a girl that you want something serious, (especially if you say you're not sure) a woman won't let you fuck, but keep it as the prize when you decide to commit, girls do that even if they don't mind sex with strangers. If she won't let you fuck you won't know if you're sexually compatible. If you don't know if you're sexually compatible, you don't know if you'll mess up your sex life by committing to her upfront.
Because they don't want to give promises they won't be able to hold up.
They probably don't know what they want until it's gone. 😫

Maybe the guy didn't want anything serious in the beginning. As time passed he developed feelings for the girl. So now he wants a relationship.
It's cause they can't make their minds up , they need to get their mind together and stop giving a girl the run around.
Because we don't always have feelings right away. And it's not "always". Only some men are this way.
