Why do guys say they don’t want a long term relationship but then act like they do?

If I only want a physical relationship with a guy then I don’t want to talk to him everyday, no cuddling, no spending the night, no going out to dinner. My friends with benefits does all of this but then says he only wants a physical relationship. He asked again if I’m ok with this being just physical because he can’t get emotional with anyone. He treats me really good. Though I’m sure if he’s testing me to see what he can get away with. If I should just tell him that we need to take a break and not see each other for a while.

Maybe it’s cuz he’s scared to get attached cuz women treat men like shit if they think they can a lot of the time plus getting attached to a woman with a high body count is painful at best. Getting into a monogamous relationship with a nonvirgin in all honesty is just uncomfortable feeling

most guys just want a chill relationship where nothing is expected of them, he may like you, just a relationship is hard work and it is easier to just not go all the way
