Pranking has been around since forever but youtube has given people a reason to do it as an outlet. The worse i heard about was a girl who got kidnapped by some new friends who blindfolded them and tied them up and put them in the back of a car and drove them out to the desert saying they were going to kill them... then when they got there they let them go and said it was a joke

Yeah, especially the ones where they trick the person into thinking they cheated. Even when they reveal it was fake/a prank, they still made their SO go through the emotional pain as if it was real. I'd leave someone over that kind of behavior. It is really messed up and hurtful in my opinion.
I don’t take them seriously cause most of them are fake, but I find that to be cringy, if someone fake suicide, or a mortal injury just to see his partner’s reaction. I’m very open minded, but that’s just useless and not truly something you can joke about
I've seen a few and I don't like them. I would hate it if my relationship is like that.
But no, I don't think its mental abuse, they may be doing it to get views and generate income from youtube.

I like pranks on YouTube.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-WiR2VE-gm4https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DuHO2KcX6bICannot view the picture properly, unfortunately and see what it is about, can only see a woman with a burned face and what i presume to be her boyfriend 'pretending'to throw hot liquid over her.
It is concerning as people get abused for real, like instances of acid being thrown at their face, so it is with undue care and attention that the "partners" think it is ok to prank one another in such a way, while no considering how it can affect others.
The relationship is and seems fake!I'm pretty sure 99% of those prank videos are planned in advance. It's just acting in order to get veiws.
A couple that kept doing stuff like that to each other wouldn't work out. Remember that a relationship is built on trust.No. Childish and stupid? absolutely. But abusive? not if both are participating. But if one asshole is doing it and she keeps telling him to stop? then yes.
just like most TV sicoms... ok on TV for viewers and $, terrible in real life. Treat someone like that, you end up alone and divorced. I don't treat people like that.
I think it is stupid as hell and these youtubers or bloggers that do that shit are the reason they go through relationships and friendships like dang toilet paper.
No, just stupid. And more than likely fake. It's all for attention and views. And if you ask me, it is indicative of a shallow relationship.
They probably definitely can and do get into abuse territory... but if you're doing it sort of professionally then a nice paycheck probably solves most problems.
No I don't as for most of them it's a agreed on thing if it was 1 partner constantly doing it to the other knowing they don't like it then sure
The majority are fake but I personally don’t enjoy that kind of content
Pranks shouldn't hurt people and they shouldn't be taken too far. They should be more lighthearted like putting a bucket of water on a door.
No, it is not mental abuse. That is quite the stretch, let's not forget being in a relationship is a choice.
if you and your partner have that sort of humor with each other i don't see how it's abuse.
No but practical jokes and horseplay ultimately goes to far until somebody gets hurt.
some of them can be a bit harsh but they intend to do no harm so I guess not
Yes I think so. Its never deleted for hate, but it should, its not acceptable, nor is is it entertainment.
You can tell most of them are fake and preplanned either way they are stupid
Only if they're one sided
Fake is fact... abusive? Not really... Disturbing : very
All of them are fake. Just to get those views, cringe and disgusting.
