Absolutely! I have female friends that I have gone out with and text chat with all the time. We hug and kiss on the cheek when we meet but it is not seen as sexual at all. Sometimes we even text chat silly sex talk but only for a good laugh. The opposite sex are great friends to have because it is much like this website where you can ask the opposite questions or get their help in certain situations.

Been friends with the same woman for 23 years. Even walked her down the aisle this year. Friendship between the sexes will likely take a different form from those between men and between women. I mean, with extremely few exceptions I probably won't be sharing my fork with her which I never would do with a guy friend.

Of course there is.

As long as you leave sex, feelings and a number of other facts out of the relation, you can have a perfect and pure friendship between both genders.

I manage to do it, so it is not something that is too difficult in my opinion.

Yeah, totally. I have plenty of friends that are women and it's entirely plutonic.

I think what can be tricky for some fellas is that when they start getting attention from a woman (I'm assuming they're hetrosexiual of course) they confuse this with 'oh she must fancy me' and they making assumptions.

For sure! I have a few. Maybe it's difficult to find those kind of pure friend's relationship because very often either one of them feel something else and start to fall in love. It even happen to me. But it is totally possible.
