Whats the difference between a first deep crush and first love?

I feel like a deep first crush is a one-sided lust, or infatuation, whereas I would use the term first love to describe something mutual. Then again, what is love?

How you answer that question could change the answer to this question entirely. Maybe to you, love can be unrequited, which therefore could certainly be a sort of first love.

When I hear someone say "first love", I picture an act between two people who would do almost anything for one another out of their mutual affection. It's something you can only decide for yourself... you can be crazy for someone or you can be crazy for each other. If this craziness develops into something more rational, so to speak, maybe you'll have your first love after all.

thanks for der feedback the crush was mutual but I was reluctant to act upon it cos of various reasons but he really wanted to...it lasted for 3 years.

a crush is almost always implied to be one sided. while love certainly can be it can also mean mutual attraction or the return of feelings.

crush is also a term used mostly for adolescents and young adults. you don't really find 30 and 40 somethings "crushing" on other people. though they may physically be doing so, they'll use different terms to describe it.

it's just a matter of vocabulary really.

First loves involve some degree of understanding the other person, while I crush is superficial and doesn't require knowing anything about the other person.

That sounded really sexual, you should use the word "come" for come, but yes.

Or more likely, deep crush is first love - making yourself believe you are in love with the person who you find appealing, most often on merely physical terms. To be obsessed with the idea of being in love - that is first love, and that is deep crush. They're the same thing.
