(disagreement with my boyfriend) Is it weird for the girl to be the older one in the relationship?

Me and my boyfriend were talking about this last night when I was watching Star Wars Episode 2 and somehow padme and anakins relationship became the topic of discussion, my boyfriend thought it was weird that she was older than him but I didn’t see the problem in that it was only five years difference and they were both pretty much adults anyway but I thought it was just THEIR age that bothered him but he said it was weird at any age which I disagree with because I don’t see the problem, this is going to come across as a bit feminist but if the man can be older than the woman what’s the problem with the woman being older than the man he was telling me it was disgusting but he wasn’t telling me why and he started calling me defensive and saying that I was offended because of what he thought and I honestly didn’t care everyone has their own opinion but he wasn’t telling me why are you thought that he just thought it was disgusting and wouldn’t give me an answer which then frustrated me but he started getting upset with me for being frustrated over this and wanted to end the discussion immediately but I just figured he didn’t have a valid reason to back up his opinion so i said never mind but I obviously wasn’t too happy after, it just puzzled me seeing that I’m 16 and he’s 18 and him saying we wouldn’t have even been friends if it were the other way around, also I’m sorry if I haven’t explained this very well I’m in a bit of a rush and he also then proceeded to ignore my texts after which made me even more cross but he did apologise after.
