If you like someone do you find yourself being more indulgent to their quirks/requests or helpful to their requests?

I noticed this with a guy I like I'm getting to know. He's patient, even indulgent, when I ask something of him (and helpful).

Ps. If it seems a stupid question I'm not American. Different cultures have slightly different cues for interest.
