I agree.
Sometimes people are busy. Everyone's busy, me too. But if someone is always busy and never makes time for me then I know how unimportant I am to them.
My solution to the problem of being ignored is currently:
"Sure, she's doesn't have to respond, and I don't have to like her"
Lol I actually said that to someone in person recently. haha. I was like, "hey, what's with you not responding to my texts?" and her trans friend said, what came off as trying to hard to be a bitchy woman, "like what the hell? why are you calling her out? She doesn't owe you a response!"
And I said, "sure, she doesn't have to respond, and I don't have to like her"
And you should have seen her face drop with dejection. Good. Of course, it's not like she learned and apologized.. so I have been ignoring her existence and good riddance 🤷♂️😂
I also like "People make time for what's important to them" I say that too.
Another good one is a meme I recently saw that a friend posted that said "women treat you like they want to be treated at first, then how you treat them." but I do that, and so have adapted and generalized it to a saying, "I treat people how I want to be treated first, then how they treat me"
So, in this context, it's like I ignore the shit out of that woman as if she does not exist lol. I've actively looked away when I accidentally look at her and make eye contact. and yea. I tried to be open and friendly first, but she made me feel like I don't exist, so now I make her feel like she doesn't exist.
I feel mean but why would I be nice to someone who isn't nice to me?
Ah well, this is the most I've thought about her in weeks

I believe that they think they are too busy, sometimes, but it still seems like a brush-off.
If I really care about that person, I always suggest another time, when I am, actually, busy at the time they suggest.
No suggestion of an alternate time, then I am guessing just a brush off, and they just don't really care as much as they pretend to.
I MAKE time for those I care about and love.
I do, because I know how it is like to be too busy and have a life that has no semblance of life. Some people have professions bigger than themselves and while it's not forever, it should be understood that not everything revolves around personal stuff.
But then again, I do get that some people might use it as an excuse. All I'm saying is "too busy" exists. That even a 2-second reply could be the last straw to break a camel's back. Spare the person those 2 seconds to breathe then go back and finish his work, so at the end of the day, he could finally go home to you.
No I don't believe that crappy excuse!

Yes.
It means they are not interested... the real definition of "I am too busy"I don't usually believe them... when someone says something like "I want to focus on my career," they usually wouldn't miss anything if they looked away from a few seconds. The upshot of the situation is that they are telling you that they have better things to do with their time, but I don't feel as though that is generally reflected in their behavior. I always think it's interesting that people like that will frequently form connections with others, despite their apparently busy lives, but then act as though forming a deeper connection would some how prevent them from doing other things.
I get that the answer is no, but I just find that interesting.I felt the same way that if you cared about someone you would find time for them but then I met my now partner who works 2 jobs and over 80 hours a week just to make ends meet it is very hard for him to find time to do anything sometimes he won’t even get to see his own family for months so yes I do believe that sometime people are genuinely busy
Not if it’s a constant excuse. I have dated many men whose say they are too busy. I have had friends who say they are too busy. The reality is, if someone matters you make time for them. The guy I am seeing right now goes to college, has two jobs, and is the lead singer of two bands and he texts me whenever he can, facetimes me, and always makes time to see me in person. Too busy is bullshit.
I think usually it's an excuse. But too busy really does exist. I've worked so many hours that I didn't have time to sleep, let alone do anything else. I literally felt like I didn't have time to use the toilet I was so busy.
A lot of the tech start up companies are like that. The company has catered food because they don't want people to leave work to go eat. Most of the people grab the catered food and take it back to their desk to work while they eat.Well, people can always briefly have a lot going on or some crisis they have to deal with but, at the end of the day,... life is setting priorities, you always make time for the things you value and treasure in life so if someone is routinely "busy", you know you are not a priority in their life.
So I generally don’t, keep in mind someone just ended things with me a couple weeks ago in this same way. It’s definitely possible when they are workaholics though and I’ve dated those before too believe me. But you have to look at other aspects of their life, do they make time to party with friends? How much do they work?
In my case I’m pretty sure he was put off by me wanting a commitment before sex.Sometimes I really am too busy at the moment, but if they're important to me I will make time for them as soon as I can
Are we talking about a doctor or surgeon who really is often very busy? Or another professional with an important deadline coming up? Or a normal joe with a standard job? It really depends. That saying is only true to an extent. It does not mean people can’t genuinely be busy.
It's a BS way of saying " I can't be arsed with you " ... but they are suddenly NOT busy when they want something from you ... hmmmmm !! I weeded all those types out of my life early on , decades ago.
No, and I hate when people use that cop out, especially in relationships
I am too busy to read and answer this question... will try to get back to it when I am not too busy...
lol :)Pretty much true, although some people do have heavy obligations on their time. Someone who says they are "too busy" but then chooses not to spend their available time with you is not that interested.
I give them the benefit of doubt. They may be busy. or they could just be full of shit and horrible with time management
Sometimes yes
If they say it all the time
Then go fuck yourselfYes and no. I've always had a very time consuming job. So I know what it is to really be busy. What I know for sure is that you'd spare time for what's really important and when something matters you'd find time for it.
To sum up, people are busy for what's not a priority for them.It really depends who they are but generally if it is important they will make time. However, I have found myself with conflicting options and I can only go to one event when another thing is going on so I have to make a choice.
What two seconds for a text? Nobody is that busy. More like too lazy.
Not if i see them being online on social media or instant messengers. Although this is not a definite indicator. I have seen i had discord showing me being online (from my mobile device) while i was asleep.
No because nobody can really be THAT busy. They're into you or they aren't.
