My boyfriend got grounded what do I do?

so my boyfriend and i have extremely strict parents. and well we get our phones taken away very frequently. but my boyfriend lost his parents trust because of something he did a while ago and everytime he gets grounded now he gets his phone taken for a very long time, and we can't text. it sucks because of quarantine and i really miss him. he stole his phone a while ago to tell me he misses me and honestly i feel bad for him and i know that his parents are trying to discipline him but i miss him. i can't send him letters because i am sure his mom will open them and my parents dont allow it, so what do you sugges i do about this?

Considering the relationship he has with his Parents, and his history of behavior, now is a good time to think about whether you really want to stay with somebody with this behavior.

2. SNEAKING his phone from his Parents (you even said he "STOLE" it from them).
His behavior is erratic, and personally, I would think twice about continuing on with him. If he does this while he is with his Parents, what is to say he won't with you? ? Based on what you posted, it would give me every reason to not trust him.

i am aware that you are seeing this from an adult / parent point of view and that the points i made are valuable enough for you to make that conclusion that my boyfriend is a rebel. yeah we are teenagers, we commit more mistakes than the average person i am pretty sure you did too or you even still commit mistakes. and honestly i dont think its his fault that he has helicopter parents and they want to control every move that he does and scold him for every little thing. as a person that personally has to deal with these type of parents there is litteraly nobody else that i have ever met besides him that has this type of relationship with them, so it is pretty likely that you wouldn’t understand. as a person that also gets their phone taken regularly, i can admit that my phone at this point has become a major part of my life because of communication with my friends and boyfriend of course. i know people think technology is a bad thing at times but i grew up with it and honestly i think of it as a friend away from school because all my friends are there. also my boyfriend is also the most considerate and caring person probably in the whole entire school, and yeah he stole his phone at night to text me he missed me and he put it right back so his parents would not find out. i used to do that too, or worse. i have a separate phone that my friend lent me so i can use it whenever my parents take away my phone, which is everyday. it just has come down to that where my parents have lost my trust too because i got caught with this phone not long ago. we to not get on their nerves but we know that the strict parenting won’t stop and i believe it is not our fault and that we have to deal with this.
