Does prioritizing the your kids first mean you love the child more than your wife?

I don't have kids and im not married yet but I would prioritise my wife. If I can attend to her problems and issues, we'll have a better and understanding relationship and we'll be able to raise the child in a happier way.

Kids are all grown except the 17 year twins. So my focus is more on the wife now. Right now I'm still a dad and now a grandfather. Soon it's just grandfather

Wife as even though I don't have either for some reason that would feel more important to me but then again I haven't experienced either one so not sure.

It would be a hard choice, but I’m certain my wife and I would agree to always prioritize our children over ourselves. If my wife was given the same question, I’d expect and want her to choose our children.

As a woman, I feel the complete opposite. I feel like the marriage should be a priority first because a better relationship with the spouse means it will be a better environment for the child. Also the child grows up and leaves the home but you choose to be with your spouse and to love and take care of each other til death do you part, they are the ones who you choose to spend the rest of your life with.
