I sleep in my roommates beds every night because I'm scared to sleep alone. Is it weird?

I live with three boys that I sleep with daily. Either they will come to my bed or I'll go to one of theirs. One of them has a girlfriend and we have slept all together because he told her I wasn't able to sleep on my own and she was cool about it, me and her have slept in my bed a bunch of times as well after that.

I had a very traumatic experience a few months back and stopped being able to sleep alone. I'm doing therapy and by now I'm able to sleep all night without waking up if one of them wakes up before me or walks out for some reason. Is it weird that me being 24 have to sleep with one of the boys every night?

I don't think it's weird I suffered through a terrible experience years ago in my bedroom when I was younger and for the longest time I couldn't sleep in there or even be in there alone. So I get the general idea of where you are coming from.

But I mean like you said you suffered some serious trauma a while back which made you afraid to sleep alone. Which I understand, so do what you gotta do and in the mean time make an effort to heal the trauma and break the codependency habit.

Overtime you'll heal and be back to normal. As long as your making an effort to heal and go back to normal I think it's fine. As long as the guys don't try to take advantage of you.

No it's not bad as long as they don't try to do something with you while your sleeping
But I am assuming that you know the boys characters and personality properly thats why you live with them in the first place and even think about sharing the bed. So it is not weird
Also I hope that you recover from that bad experience soon.

Yeah it's pretty weird... I wouldn't like it if I saw you as a potential dating candidate and it shows signs of some dependency issues.

I'm working on the codependency not exactly where I'd want to be but I'm getting there.

Well it looks as if you're already aware of the issue. I mean this in the most sincere way possible; therapy really can help you through that.

After trauma I started sleeping alone. I used to sleep in same room separate mattress. Not anymore.

I guess trauma effects everyone differently
