What does it mean when my boyfriend tells me that he trusts me but not other people?

I'm one of those people who have trust issues. Just a lot of shit I've gone through that I won't talk about (not even with a therapist). When he says that, it means that you are very close to him and he loves you dearly. He's probably seen shit and judging by your question, you won't understand it. It doesn't matter if it's explained to you in great detail, you just won't get it until you've been there. Just know that your boyfriend has trust issues and stay by his side and help him through hard times. It means he's loyal as fuck and he thinks a lot of you.

He knows your character and your personality. He knows how you will most likely act in most situations.

He doesn't know that about other people though. Im guess he made a comment like this while discussing you going somewhere without him present?

This kinda comment is a way of saying "im not worried about you being there, im worried about the other people there"

A nice way of saying, he unfortunately doesn’t trust you being able to handle a situation
where you were propositioned by another. This is going to happen in life purposely and
inadvertently. There is no such thing as partially trusting. You’re either all in or nothing
at all.

I assume this is in the context of you hanging out with other guys? If that be the case, he trusts you not to cheat, but doesn't trust other people not to hit on you or be creeps.

In any other context, it means exactly what he said.
