Why did my boyfriend get mad when I accuse him of cheating?

Question

I don’t know what’s going on with my boyfriend phone but he never wants me near it. There was this one female coworker he lied to me about hanging out with. I understand he might’ve hid it from me because I might get jealous but to lie about it made me uncomfortable. I never knew about it until I seen it with my own eyes. That was like two months ago and I let it go. He was on his phone few days ago while we were out and I made a joke like “you’ve been messaging your other girlfriends all day.” I was laughing when I said it but he still got mad about it. He even offered me to let me see his phone.

See I don’t get why people don’t just follow their intuition. Like obviously you don’t trust your dude. I told is this one before, why are you even get yourself upset finding out if he’s actually cheating when you feel he may be? And then in the end if he’s not you’re just a girl that keeps on pestering him about cheating and does make you look jealous regardless it’s pretty toxic already

He's probably cheating. Cheaters always puts a guard up and blames the other partner for being insecure with trust issues. Also from what i have seen here and there, most cheating occurs at workplace. If he lied to you abour hanging out with her, it's not to protect you. It's because he knows it wasn't an innocent hangout which you wouldn't be ok with

You basically accused him of doing something that you have no psychical proof that he is doing how you gonna feel if the shoe was on the other foot and he accused you off cheating without any proof and you would be pretty pissed off especially if you weren’t cheating

Anyone who's not cheating would of joke with you and will always share his funny texts or others msgs with you. If he got and offered his phone in reality he was hoping you wouldn't go through it. There's no reason to become upset over a joke.
