My boyfriend is in love with his best friend?

he's known this girl for a while I think four years or something like that. I know theyve known each other longer than I've known him. One of our friends called me the other night and told me my boyfriend was in love with this girl who is HIS (my boyfriend's) bestfriend. I asked him why he was just now telling me this and he said its because he (my boyfriend) finally told this girl he's INLOVE with her. I haven't said anything to him about it yet because I'm still collecting my thoughts. I know our friend could be lying but he's a very trust worthy guy and this just came out of the blue.

We live in two different states which is also why I haven't talked to him about this yet.

i also know they're very close, like they are always spending time together. before we started dating they would spend a lot of time over each other's houses, holding hands, being very "fake" affectionate and I told my boyfriend I don't like that, so he stopped doing that but the last time I visited him, she was there and she mentioned something about his house that she would only know if she's been over recently.

I kind of believe something is going on behind the doors. You may not have actual evidence to confront them, but you have to be ready for anything. I'm telling you this because I had the same experience. It's an awful feeling that you're making an effort to make the relationship successful while someone else is getting all credit and attention.

Wait to hear the real story from your boyfriend. Don't do anything yet, because you only heard rumors so far and it isn't wise to act on rumors or hometown gossip. Good lucky girl :)
