My boyfriend loves me like his BEST FRIEND?

we're together for 3 months now and my boyfriend told me he loved me in a different way, like I were his best friend and not his girlfriend.

he said that was because we acted like friends and joked around and were kidding around like he is with his friends.

After he said that I began to cry and he also cried. he said he didn't want to break up, he just needed some time to think and he said we should try not to contact each other for a week.

later that night I decided that I could not bare this and texted him that I'm sorry for everything but that I didn't think that his feelings could change to love again and that we should break up:(

then he phoned me and said he didn't want to break up at all that he still loved me but that some things had to change.

next day I went to his place and everything seemed okay, in the evening I went out with friends and we texted cute messages during the whole time.

but I really don't know what to think:( I'm already hurt and I don't want it to get worse, what do you think, will his feelings change and will he be able to love me as his girlfriend again?

Well, I think that there's a chance that he'll love you as his girlfriend again, and I would assume that he thinks that also because he obviously doesn't want to break up with you. You're hurt already, and I don't think that breaking up right now will make any immediate difference as to how you feel, so I say just stick with it for now at least? If nothing changes for a while and you're still his 'best friend' then try bringing up the breaking up thing again.

When you say he said that 'some things had to change'...did he specify which? Do you know in your mind what he meant, or do you have some things in mind that you think should or need to change? Give these a thought, and if you can, make some effort into making things a little different maybe?

The hurt might not stop for a while, but hope you at least don't feel so down about it, and remember, he still loves you. And if it doesn't work out...don't cry because it ended, smile because it happened.

Personally, I think maybe he's frustrated on some level that maybe you two haven't taken things to the next level and that may be why he is putting you in the friend zone. But only he knows, maybe he wants a more serious relationship from a girlfriend or maybe he's just confused. I don't know how far along you two are in your relationship but this is a classic symptom of a guy who just doesn't feel like there is any spark there. Maybe you should up the ante a little bit, but only if you really like him and really want to.

Be careful though, if he is too intent on taking things too serious too fast he may be a player.
