@nodnol32 there was a time when I used to love and play cricket myself. But for the long periods of Test matches which would make my dad snatch TV controller from me and make me miss my cartoons was so annoying 😂.
On top of that, the India-Pakistan rivalry that is shown in cricket with uber sentiments completely wrecks the spirit of the sport for me. Nothing less than a nuclear war going on lol. And then the media blowing up the results of the match using strong words makes it look even more stupid.
I just find cricket to be overrated and hyped up with other motives kicking in.

UK has had it's history of being a 'gentleman' in history during the period when India was colonialized. Now, the things might have changed but I still don't like the hype cricket is sold with here.
If it were taken with a spirit of a gentleman's game (as you said about UK today), it'd make me dislike it much less.
