The memes are 100% true.
I've fallen for that before. For example, a person tells me how badly they were treated and what a horrible person was who did it. I empathize and get angry at the person who was mean. But then I hear their side and it's completely different. I've learned that, in cases like that, it's hard to know who is being the most accurate or truthful. It's usually best to listen and empathize, but not to make a judgement or take sides. In fact, it was bad for the first person to triangulate and say bad things about the other in an attempt to hurt them.
The same goes for things in the news. For example, every single outlet repeats that Assad gassed his own people in Syria. You initially think "That doesn't make sense. He must be crazy." Then you find out that the UN inspectors found absolutely no evidence and, in fact, found evidence that the gassings were staged by the terrorists. There are endless examples like that. The media is monolithic in repeating government lies and great effort goes into covering up actual facts.
"Kim jong un is a madman." "Iran is on the verge of building a nuke." "Russia is the imperialistic aggressor in Crimea and Donbas." "911 was committed by a few radical Muslim terrorists with box cutters." "Ammon Budy was stealing public resources and threatened government forces." "Lavoy Finicum was killed while trying to resist authorities." "The experimental gene 'therapies' are safe, effective and necessary to protect the population against covid." "Information that differs from the official narrative is 'fake news', that those who question the official narrative are conspiracy theorists." On and on. There are endless examples of complete, disgusting propaganda. Goebbels and Bernays would be envious.

Because no matter what story it maybe, and how you see things in this world there seems to always be two sides and we are all given the same choices on how we each choose to see it , if you have ever noticed when it comes to people that we elect it's always somewhere around a 50/50 divide we have God devil

They don't forget- they just choose to hear what they WANT to hear.
Subconsciously, we (as a whole) always want to believe those we care for, like, deem appealing, etc. The flaw with that logic is you're only hearing or seeing their side of the story; not the other person's. You have to get ALL perspectives on a situation before judging someone!
It's like wearing blinders: sometimes we don't want to see both sides, because we might not like what we hear or see... you know, like the truth.
Basically people are ignorant to logic and common sense at times.
That's exactly why I don't listen to gossip: it's nothing but hearsay started by someone that probably didn't get all the facts.
So now one rumor can impact someone's reputation because people don't know how to go to the source and get their side of the story first... they go by what sounds good, or bad depending on the circumstance.
We just looooooooooove jumping to conclusions, picking sides and cause drama, but what if both try to twist the story? Honestly, we need a third side, a witness, a camera or something

Because, for whatever the reason, we all have our biases. And they can get in the way of us wanting to know the actual truth of a situation because the truth could potentially not fit our narrative. A lot of times, we don't wanna be wrong. And it's easier not to feel wrong when you act as if the world isn't as complex as it is.
So I think we basically let our egos, biases, and naivety push away our pursuit of the truth. It then turns into the pursuit of whatever makes us feel good.Phil Collins! Nice!
I think thats an important prospective!
My roommate has been teaching me the value to see the business side of things. I think many people can see how many times big business screws them over but how many times do they see things from their prospective? It's the difference between being a rebellious worker to finally becoming the manager that has to manage the rebellious worker. To take things further to the view of gender it gets to a really interesting divide that few people if any has fully grasped the difference of prospective. To walk one path as a male and walk that same path as a female it's quite a different experience. It's really having the humility and understanding to place yourself in someone's shoes as much as you can. Because something simple as just life experience apart from the body, then adding life experience as that gender then adding experiencing the bodies natural biological experience, then take the biological things unqine to each human body... It's mind blowing layers, to come at it from a woman's prospective, let's say you are anti social loner, that has difficulty relating to people, you have trouble relating to guys as you did not know your dad as much but had almost not social time with guys, you have complex emotions that make you want to be with guys to have a connection with them, yet have too much anixety to get out of the house, then add a preexisting family trait of chronic pain... You have only a glimpse of that person yet so many complex layers and even women of the same gender would have a tough time understanding them completely. Just one person has so many complexities to them so there is very much two sides to every storyA rather widely used saying in my country "you need to sticks to make a cross".
Fault is rarely ever one sided only. Then it depends who owns up to it for the sake of the couple, and who stands their ground stubbornly causing the couple to break. It complicates things. It turns black-and-white into shades of grey. Suddenly the other person is a real person who has their own pathological behaviour. It's easier to just take one side.
I've even come across marriage guidance counsellors who've got that badly wrong so the one spouse becomes responsible for all the problems.
You need to know both sides.People want to believe the first thing they hear or the most dramatic thing. Nobody wants to sit there and listen to two people tell you what happened because now you don't know who to side with. I personally love hearing about people's conflicts because I like helping people, which is why I like this app. Basically, people just want to believe what they want.
There's actually three sides to every story. Because either opinion from either party is going to be bias. Think of the situation as a coin. Heads or tails cover the same surface area symbolizing both parties, equal, both could be full of crap OR telling equivalent truths, however, the third side of the coin is the rim, its that tiny sliver that divides and joins both parties. Thats the part of the story I'm interested in because its theoretically the raw truth. Hope this helped?
I don't think they do. I think most people just don't care. And yes, there is two sides to a story and very many times, both sides are fairly compatible. But just occasionally, there is only one true side to a story and the other side is a complete lie. It's rare, but it happens.
At least.
My counselor wife- when she is working with couples - just scratches her head and observes (when confronted by two SO. DIFFERENT. stories, "It just does not seem like these two are even talking about the same thing."
I mean I learnt this early doors when I was read Goldilocks and the three bears as a youngster... I mean this house breaker has stolen the food out of the mouth of a youngster and then rather than apologise she's broke his chair and made a mess of his bed!
Court of opinion would be my guess. Half the time, many people side with a friend or loved one without a doubt.
One reason would be lies of omission, like when someone plays victim, but leaves out details of what they did.
Another reason would be, people remember things differently from other people.everyone wants us to "Choose sides" no one can be neutral, we must take sides in everything, even if we don't really care about "Their Issues". So when 2 people are fighting or arguing it's almost impossible to Not take someone's side... I try to say "That sounds terrible, I hope you guys can work it out" and I "STAY out of it"
because people pick sides. And if you dont pick their side, they will bully you and harass you. and others will see you bullying that person, so they will go along with that. And that is how fucking bullying in school and cyberbullying happens..
down rate in 3...2.. and go!!
(wondering which tool who is downrating me at the Church of Christ or Fox/OAN/NewsMaxTwo sides, my side and the right side lol. Yes I know I am not always right and my opinion isn't the only opinion. Sure is fun to debate however and sometimes it is a good thing to express your opinion with confidence and if it turns out to be wrong then I will admit it.
But no need to be all soft and get run over by those that think they can shame people into doubting themselves. Again, just my opinion.@Brainsbeforebeauty Double, EXTRA points, SQUARED, for posting Phil, and also, one of the most meaningful, personally, songs, he has ever sang!
So sad, that we never hear both sides! The Media, whatever channel, is biased, to their audience, and party-oriented, for many.I have NO idea, I guess asking only the people who DO forget that there are two sides to every story would be more helpโฆ bur then again if they are THAT kind of person, I donโt think that they would care!
I will often say, even though there is two sides. Don't assume one is right or wrong. It is entirely possible both could be right or both could be wrong.
Yet people get so focused on what they believe in they are blinded to the rest. There is 3 sides , there is your side, then there is my side , and then there is the truth... typically this is the case when there is any question as to why people disagree on the facts to begin with
Everyone has a predetermined response to a situation based on their own set of beliefs. These give them an opinion of which side is right and which side is wrong.
Rationalization is the second strongest human drive. You are more apt to believe something is true if you want it to be true. They think with their emotions. Have been Brsinwashed to think with them and not use critical thinking skills. It is the side that has the most hits thats wins. After all its the best story on the Internet that wins. As the old saying goes the Internet never lies. lol
