As a man what type of woman would you like to get married to (qualities) ?

I have been watching a lot of men’s podcasts on YouTube about relationships and what men would want in a wife. I still do not understand. A constant topic is how men want their wives to be housewives but aren’t two incomes better than one? A lot of statements about women losing value once the are thirty. And men aren’t interested in women who spend their twenties focused on their careers and finally in their thirties wanting to settle down. Listening to these conversations makes me wonder if I’m meant to pick family or my career. I was watching Kevin Samuel and he has a lot of good content but this one made no sense. He blamed a woman for splitting her family because she ended up having a divorce because her husband was a serial cheat. What should women do stay with a man who’s going to constantly cheat on them? I’m not looking for a millionaire to sweep me off my feet neither am I in my thirties or twenties but listening to conversations like this confuse me. Like what is the right thing to do

I'm gonna be blunt here, a lot of the "men's podcasts" are directed towards men that have super antiquated and prejudiced views about women. These are guys that struggle to connect with women, often because of these traits, and they turn to self-help gurus and other relationship mystics who claim to have "unlocked" female psychology, despite mysteriously never accepting actual womens' input in the process.

My advice would be to remember that men are as varied and diverse as women are. True, there are some psychological and biological differences, but we all like different traits and people in the end. Honestly, you sound pretty smart. That's a quality I like in a woman myself.

The woman who actually fight and win and remove the biased laws and regulations regarding marriage. Until then more and more men will skip marriage all together. So it doesn't matter who you are, focus on being the best girlfriend instead of wife. Or get the marriage agreement fixed so it doesn't screw men over.

Yes it's a part of the marriage deal that she can break it. Which smart men just refuse because they are usually the one with most resources.

I’m not talking about divorces my country doesn’t have divorce laws like the US when you divorce it’s just the marriage broken you keep your property individually

I think it’s dangerous not to have a career or a source of income before you get married because your partner could abuse you or cheat on you or get into a car accident or suffer a disease and lose his ability to provide for you. I’m not saying it’s wrong to be a house wife but I think it’s dangerous not to plan another way of survival if the house wife lifestyle dies out somehow.

You essentially described what happened to my (then) 28 year old mother when my father was killed in a car accident. As was common at that time, they married right after graduating from high school and she never worked. Suddenly she was left to raise and to provide for two small children, all with no job skills. Luckily, my mom has incredible maternal drive. We got through it, but I wouldn't wish that situation on any young woman.

I completely agree with there’s nothing wrong with being a house wife but it’s not common here. Usually In my country men and women are raised to make their money. My dad gets more excited than my mom when she gets contracts😂😂😂😂 so watching those conversations it’s hard to understand their point.

The word 'marriage' has become a bane to the existence of many men, in particular bachelors. Once a man's locked into that lovely government contract, he's basically gotta pray to sunny Jesus that the woman he chooses (i. e. agreed to marry his ass) doesn't transform (suddenly or eventually) into the kind of woman he'd normally run screaming into the night from. This, my friends, is the nightmare... it's like your house catching fire and having nothing to extinguish it. You just watch it burn.

It's at this point in the marriage where we (the men) become blessed with after-the-fact criticisms about our choice of mates - for not choosing them wisely enough, for not vetting them thoroughly enough, for not blaming our crystal balls for concealing the future enough - that ultimately scold us in a tone of condescending advice that's worthlessly past due.

As a single guy, my preferences are really quite simple. Personality-wise - non-combative, non-violent and supportive while possessing common sense, a sense of humor and a healthy outlook on sex. Physically, she doesn't need to be anything more than cute with an average body.
