You get your one true love back again.. but would it be worth the cost to you in the end?
Basically the what would you choose? Save the world or save the one you love most?
INSPIRED BY the MASTERPIECE OF A GAME SHADOW OF THE COLOSSUS

There is no 'true love' so why would I commit such a huge sin to murder INNOCENT people?
Like everything, love also dies one day, PEOPLE CHANGE, your lover's feelings can fade and they might not even give you the world, so there's no reason to save a snowflake at the cost of even 1 life.
If it were that RARE TRUE love (which is impossible to find) then definitely I would have only cared about my lover.
So sounds like its a no then lol.
Great game tho regardless
Definitely it is no. :D
Hmmm I can't answer this one..
What's to say your true love wants to come back... My hubby is gone and it saddens me, but he's no longer in pain and suffering like he was for years...
yes it is truly a conundrum/ this game just leaves you with this question.
also when you beat the game you are met with this feeling of almost dread even thoughh you got your love back again... like you feel like you just lit the match that will spark a catastrophe. its such a crazy game.
If it endangered more lives then that's not what she'd want.
What if killing those things destroyed my other loved ones? Killed countless innocent lives? Ruined the planet?
I rule myself with rationality & empathy! I will not become a serial killer just to bring back a person who couldn't live with what I did to do it.
indeed it is a conundrum and the game kinda leaves you feeling bad for what you did. i still love this game so much lol
I'll have to play it sometime (it was free on PSN) but the protagonist *should* feel bad in my opinion.
I can sympathize with the attitude of doing whatever it takes to keep you and your loved ones alive, but there must be some sanity to it.
Could I kill 16 innocent lives? I already eat to live, that's murder. But I don't murder anything else knowingly, all in the name of balancing survival & empathy.
I don't know this lore but would probably lean against it since there are other people I care about like my family and friends.
Yeah the game isn't so forth coming with answers about the world it takes place in

I really think I ought to make some time to play this game.
But to answer your question; Yes I would murder 16 titanic creatures to bring back the one I love the most (and who loves me). Even as a child who believed in "the one", I have always sided with movie/game/TV "villains" who were driven by love, and good guys who did morally questionable things for love ( e. g. Mr. Freeze in Batman, and Gabriel in the Castlevania:Lords of Shadow game).
The idea that someone would sacrifice everything, even the world for a person they love holds a moving level of romance to me. An outsider looks at it as silly but to you, this person is literally more important than everyone and everything else. I would be deeply moved and honoured to know that my partner held me in such high regard, despite any external consequences.
You said innocent so no, definitely not. My pretend lover would not look at me the same if I did, considering I don't like any innocent suffering and he wouldn't either.
very nice. you leave these giants alone!
also play this game it kicks ass lol
Oh that's a easy yes. It's for sure not moral. But alas creatures are selfish. And in this case i 100% would be.
interesting. so just no serious reflection or debate? these colossi are going down! I want my lover back!
Pretty much. One could sit here and try debate how it's justified thing to do, or it's not justified. But in this case i couldn't care to debate about it nor try to justify it for myself. Simply i just would do anything to get her back. How other's see me i wouldn't ever be thinking about that. My mind is on her. Love is selfless but only to those you love, everyone else be dammed to selfishness. eh maybe that line was justifying it but not my intention lol.
Shouldn't that be colossuses rather than colossi since its of greek not latin origin? I've heard they're really terrible grammar nazis. Why do people have to keep killing giants? They should be a protected species to stop stuff like.
I don't know what that is but i don't think I'm gonna be messing with something that big let alone 16
Well in this question its assumed you can take them on. so given that you still wouldn't beat them all to revive your true love?
but a future true love who died. a hypothetical situation.
lol ok.
so even if that might mean you incidentally cause a catastrophe to happen to the rest of the human race?
So in the game i mention here you go on and slay all 16 of these huge creatures. during the course of it you slowly start to feel like you are not the hero but could in fact be a villain. because a number of the colossi will not attack you unless you start attacking them. making you think these creatures might be totally innocent. so towards the end when you beat them all you revive the woman that the guy loves but you see all these guys on horse back rush into the land and start to wonder if you may have done something terrible. although the game never exactly tells you what you did by killing them all.
So you save your true love but it might come at a terrible catastrophic cost that you have no idea about.
so yeah long winded comment but given all this, would you still go through it all to revive your true love?
How dare you? My lover was a Collosus, you insensitive lout.
I would eat you and 16 more of you puny humans to bring back my true love.

As someone who played that game, not sure it was worth it in the end.
How did you feel after you killed them all? I felt kinda bad about it.
Horrible, then aftermath hit and it was so sad.
yeah i just had this feeling of "oh shit what did i just do. i got my girl back but at what cost?'
Saddest I felt with that game was with the horse.
Never. I never want to bring a loved one from the dead. As painful as it is, their soul is supposed to rest now and there is nothing that can change that.
Agro!
AGRO!
God I loved that game. I still need to play Eco
Parents maybe but my lover? No way. He ain’t even in the fiancé category?
I’ll find a new lover.
probably not as we wouldn't have the world wed live in
If I am strong/rich enough to kill Colossi then I likely wouldn't be scared of the consequences of killing these colossi. However, I've seen about 10 minutes of gameplay from that game and don't know anything about the story so...
yeah the game isn't forthcoming about it either. all thats important to your character is that these colossi are whats standing in his way from his woman being alive again. but in the process you see that these huge creatures seem innocent and after you kill them all you see a cutscene of official looking people on their horses galloping into this abandoned land. it just leaves you with a sense of dread that you may have done something terrible but the game never tells you what exactly you did.
I would try to kill as many I can to bring me True Love which is something I never experienced
Nah let sleeping dogs lye ✌️
not worth it to you?
My husband passed away December 2018 his suffering is over he's better off no longer being in pain
So sweet. and im sorry
Sorry not sorry.
I'd go way further than that with such a guarantee.
If it's a video game I will kill anything that moves.
Are these Colossi Trump supporters?
hmmmm i think one of them has a weird trump like hairdo so maybe one does. :P
I would kill that one. Then if I saw the others mourning his death, they would have to die as well.
no mercy. and some of them you have to climb up their butts to stab at their weak points. sounds like your forte!
What did a Colossi ever do to you?
nothing at all. but would you kill them if it meant you got your dead loved one back again?
I would kill the collossi and eat their hearts.
No price is too high.
