Respecting yourself means being okay with you as you are and accept yourself both the good and bad and dont judge yourself because of that. Its okay to work on yourself to be a better person, but we are not gonna ever be perfect and always see some flaws on ourselves and thats ok. We need to understand, that we are already complete without needing validation of others. If you trully respect yourself, you dont seek validation from external sources.. you dont need the hottest girl in a city, riding a lambo or swimming in money to prove you that you are enough, because we will not be ever satisfied with what we have and when we lose something our confidence relied heavily on (like that hot girlfirend or lambo) our confidence is gone aswell. You respect yourself as your are internaly from your actions.

To KNOW "where you draw the line" and to stick TO it, unless there are 'exceptional' circumstances.

Everyone has their 'breaking point' limits. 'Principles' are POOR consolation to an empty bed~

yes, where to draw the line. I'll listen to that again, a great song from the 70's.
I've found those breaking points lead to other things... there's undiscovered truths in there if willing to explore. There's always a new mountain it seems, inside of us.

Those are good. I didn't learn some of those... age is meaningless... emotional development is.

Do not do anything that can be self damaging. Basically love your self and make good decisions.

Good. I guess if going to do something, do it out of love... rather than guilt, shame, fear, etc? We all do things that are self damaging and it may feel good, I know I've done it. Knowing the difference is the hard part as the underlying training/beliefs may have been... wrong.

Respecting yourself simply means having standards and boundaries and enforcing them with others. It's when we allow people to walk all over us that we lose a sense of self respect.

      Well said!
Here's a twist: To be open to others perspectives, learning, growing, changing. But that means having control of our growth and change. But it may take a lot of listening and allowing to be vulnerable. Reality is... our "self" can be messed up. Defending a messed up self can be the definition of "stuck". There's a fine line somewhere...
