How do I get to date an older woman?

Follow up question to my other questions. I now realize that dating an older woman isn't easy, but since it is definitely possible, how can I get to do it? What exactly can attract them? Any advice is appreciated.

But I do not believe you are 16 and looking to date upwards of 40s. Something's amiss with your age and I don't like talking to liars.
And not only would a woman in 20s, 30s, 40s not want to date your age, they could go to jail over it.

For now work on your active listening skills and ability to communicate clearly, being a good listener is one of the more attractive qualities in a partner.


Then get in shape and focus on working towards a solid career. Showing drive and ambition is one thing many will want to see, being in shape helps you have more options since more of them will find you attractive.


Once you’re 21+ or, whatever the drinking age is where you are, go to places they frequent: anything with wine. Wine rather than beer so it’s women instead of men and alcohol in general because it means you’ll be getting potentially single adults and not families. Wine painting nights, pottery nights, etc., might work.

Be fit, average looking or better, stable and at least moderately successful. Be independent. Have self control. Also have some charisma and ability to carry on a semi intelligent conversation. Be able to take the lead. Same stuff that attracts the most women of any age group, race, or any demographic you can pretty much think of. They’re not all the same but this should give you the best chance across the board. Also don’t be a puss. The more you have of these qualities the more desirable you’ll be.

How much older do you want to date? You'd have to be incredibly mature for your age, and not look younger, to even consider getting an 18 yr old girl to pay attention to you. They're out there looking to date 20+ year old guys, not 16 year old guys.

That said, you just take your chances and ask. How many older girls do you actually know well enough to ask?

I am physically attracted to them. I won't live off a woman's money, I will provide for her even if she works once I get a stable job.

It's not as physical as much as it is emotional though. Older women are usually more willing to settle down and get married, and also I enjoy the feeling of a woman being somewhat protective of me. They're also more mature, they usually care more about practical things.

The odds should be well, moderate. Not many men pay attention to old women, but as a young man I won't have as much money. It should be easier once I am in my 20s.
