Why do Turks have an inferiority complex and want to be white so bad?

I have met plenty of Turks and literally all of them seemed very insecure and would always try to seek acceptance from Europeans lol
Why are they like that?

Because the Ottomans have been European outsiders for much of history. They are of European when it comes to geopolitics, but have always been outsiders due to their religious beliefs primarily. Europe is a Christian continent culturally. Eastern Rome (Byzantium) use to be Christian until the Ottomans (Turks)...

I did say this to the Turks I met and they only got offended although part of it is true based on my observation. In fact, I remember one time I thought Turkey was in the middle east and this Turkish man got all offended and started saying they're European and are white not dark skinned
Sounds like he was trying too hard to be a part of Europe lol
On a second note, I'm European and white, why would I have an inferiority complex?

First of all, we are not in the Middle East. There is no color perception in Turkey like in Europe or America. That's why they find it strange that you say "Turks are not white" in Turkey. Because we are not black. At this point, the reaction of the Turkish man you mentioned is quite normal.
I don't understand what you mean by being part of Europe. Do you think there is a different life in Turkey than in Europe? Lol. Being European and white doesn't make you superior to anyone. Believe me, inferiority complex has nothing to do with it.

I can see that Turks aren't black but some are dark skinned and do look like middle easterns. This is why I used to think Turkey was in the middle east. Literally all of the Turks I met had very similar features to those of Arabs. I was surprised
And I've never been to Turkey so I'm not sure how it is like there but I'm assuming it's different to Europe since there are a lot of Turkish immigrants in Germany. Why would they leave if Turkey is the same as Europe
From my experiences, I think Turks can be insecure about themselves, and are in fact very sensitive to criticism.

Turks went to Germany years ago as workers. That's why there are so many Turks in Germany. Due to the economic and political problems in Turkey, young people prefer to go to Europe. Apart from this, we are not a Middle Eastern country in daily life, that is, as a lifestyle.

Well actually Turks doesn't want to be white. However, they hate when you classify them as arabs. Lol because they are not. Race topics are confusing topic for Turks since they don't come from one race but highly mixed of many race. Also their definition of being Turk is defined as wanting to be Turk and being part of it for Turkey rather than having Turk genes.
