Is boyfriends mom implying something?

Been looking at buying a house with my boyfriend, we're both 26 have no kids. His mom was asking me if I've seen the school near the house we're looking at and how good it looks. I just thought it was kinda a weird comment, like why would I care about that?

Buying a house together is a HUGE commitment. You're tied together financially. It implies the long haul.
She probably imagines grandkids in the future - it's not an impossible leap. She's looking to the future, not necessarily the immediate future.

She basically giving the subtle hint to hurry up with grand kids. Parents don’t start talking about schools in the neighborhood with their kids SO unless they seeing when they thinking about kids and long term. You basically got her good grace if y’all do get married.
