zero filter.. If I find you annoying, a jackass, a troll, or a fucking tool who spews shit and baseless garbage without proper research and regurgitating it from a site or source known to spew baseless shit and garbage I will block you immediately. I dont give a fuck and a ½ who you are, who you know.
I have blocked a few individuals, but I've found that if I simply ignore those who irk me, that usually is the end of the trouble. I wouldn't consider that to be a hard and fast rule, though. Each circumstance calls for it's own measures.
Absolutely nothing wrong with blocking people on social media. I mainly block bullies and trolls because they do not deserve any of my attention at all.
I usually don't block, because yes if the reason is stupid it's childish. But when they start harrassing me and stalking me then it's obvious I will block
I see it this way, someone who keeps coming to your door even though you told them you don't want to talk to them anymore is a form of harassment, personally I block people whom I asked to stop talking to me for good and they keep sending me stuff because they can not respect my boundaries and I do not want to hear from them.
İf it was childish, we wouldn't have the block buttom on every social platform. You block someone because he or she act like a child or doesn't behave like an healthy adult.
No I dont block anyone. Bigger question is why did I let the get under my skin, anyone can teach you something comes down to being open minded, not block minded
Childish? You mean as opposed to spending your time arguing with them? No, I think it's more grown up to stick people you don't wish to talk to in the bin, and let THEM stew in their own juices.
I had a female stalker about 2 years ago. She kept messaging me AFTER I told her I had a girlfriend and no thanks (which was true at the time).
That brief annoyance gave me a better idea of what women face. However I have never cut someone off without straight telling them to cut it out first. I think women could do a better job of directly communicating to a guy to stop messaging (unless he did something explicitly wrong like sent an unsolicited dick pic).
He really needs to hear it directly that he’s being annoying. Feel free to block him right away after sending that.
It's not childish, you have to block some people or they won't leave you alone. I use it as a last resort, but the people I do definitely deserve it by then.

I don't think it childish to block.
It takes a lot for me too block someone.
What is childish is when someone really don't know how to act that they are so childish people need to stop them by blocking them
I haven't blocked anyone on GAG. Yet. But I reserve the right to if I decide it's necessary
I have blocked people elsewhere, people being nasty, creepy or otherwise despicable.

If someone is dedicated to harrassing or spamming you, it might be worth blocking them to keep only things you care to see in your notifications.
@BazookaTrouper
I agree.
It's not childish. If someone bothers you to the point where you don't find social media a "fun" place anymore then block them.
Absolutely nothing wrong with blocking people on social media. I mainly block bullies and trolls because they do not deserve any of my attention at all.
A girl once blocked me on a dating app when I asked her “hey can I ask you something” and nothing else.
Yeah I reckon that’s a bit rough.

I usually only block spam and scam, and perverts. I don't need to interact with people I dislike online. The internet is supposed to be fun.
I block assholes, pedophiles and guys who ask for nudes

Only when asked by someone I care about. Otherwise what's the point? Just don't read or ignore.
Most blocks aren't even visible to the person being blocked.

I rarely block people, even when there are differing opinions, but I do block when they're visibly stupid.
Like practically all liberals
I only block people if they’re being nasty and attacking or have abused/are abusive to me or anyone I care about
I only block people if they bother me. Like always spamming me or trolling or just posting offensive or disgusting content
Blocking people is a great tool, I block ALL underage girls if they are asking sexually explicit questions.
I don’t block someone unless I have a real good reason. It’s not a knee jerk decision for me but yes I’ve blocked a few people.
